Cara Delevingne said she would likely delete her Page X (formerly known as Twitter) after it was recently hacked, and company officials have been slow to reset her account.
The 31-year-old actress-model took to the social media platform, where she has over 9,000,000 followers, on Monday to explain the situation.
“I got hacked a week ago and it took so long to get into my account,” the London native posted on her account, which she created in June 2011.
The model said her account was hacked by scammers who set up a fake IT company to advertise to Delevingne’s followers.
“If you ever see anything about Mac books or try to sell anything on this Twitter, it’s NOT REAL!!! Sorry guys! I sincerely apologize,” she said.

The 31-year-old actress-model took to the social media platform, where she has over 9,000,000 followers, to explain the situation.
Delevingne said officials at the company, which has laid off a significant portion of its workforce since Elon Musk’s arrival, have been too slow in their response to the illegal hack.
“I’m so angry at Twitter or whatever it’s called now for taking so long to get my account back!!” she said. “So many people have been scammed and I’m furious.
Delevingne said the experience convinced her to get rid of her page on the platform, advertising alternative social media sites where she has a presence.
“I’m going to delete my account so this doesn’t happen again,” she said. “Always on Instagram, chats and tik tok. Again, I’m really sorry for this.
Delevingne was seen last Thursday in her native London with fellow models Adwoa Aboah and Emily Ratajkowski at the Vogue World and Moncler afterparty.
The swanky event took place at Mayfair’s private members’ club, George, with the friends all appearing in good spirits after the party.
Cara couldn’t hide her ripped tights as she wore a whole new look at the chic event following her “bizarre” performance on stage earlier in the evening.
The model and actress caused a stir earlier on Thursday evening when she emerged from the crowd at the Theater Royal Drury Lane, sporting a colorful punk mohawk.
Cara was seen clapping as she squeezed among the celebrity tables as FKA Twigs performed, before jumping on stage to kiss the singer.

The recently renamed company has laid off a significant portion of its workforce since Elon Musk took office in late 2022.

Bedtime! Cara looked a little shabby as she was helped into her car.
Cara had sported blonde highlights at the ATG summer party the night before, but within 24 hours she had dyed her hair a leopard print design with various shades of green and pink bangs.
The fashionista opted to forgo pants as she stepped out in a lilac cardigan and white tee to mingle with stars at the afterparty.
Meanwhile, British model Adwoa, 31, showed up on a sky-high stand in a shimmering burgundy cardigan which she teamed with matching underwear.
The look was adorned with floral embellishments and she sported dramatic eye makeup and carried a chic Miu Miu bag.
She took turns taking the hands of Cara, 31, and Emily, 32, as she helped her pals navigate the busy street before helping them into their waiting cars.
Their friend Emily showed off plenty of skin in a black ripped knit dress that showed off her toned physique.
The star teamed the dress with black heeled boots which appeared to feature black leggings as she caught a glimpse of her underwear underneath the dress.
In partnership with Moncler, the event celebrated Vogue World and the start of London Fashion Week. The celebrations – fueled by the flutes of Laurent Perrier and Don Julio 1942 tequila – capped off an unforgettable evening of fashion.

Other big names seen leaving the star-studded event included Jenna Coleman, Rita Ora, Jodie Turner Smith and Maisie Williams, after wowing onlookers just hours earlier with their eye-catching outfits.
They were joined by other stars including Stormzy, Claire Foy, Tom Daley, Daisy Edgar Jones and Ashley Walters.
Earlier in the evening, models, film legends, royalty and some of the biggest names in show business gathered at the Theater Royal Drury Lane for the Vogue World Show.
This glittering and unique extravaganza kicks off London Fashion Week and sees Sienna Miller, Rita Ora, Jodie Turner Smith and Winnie Harlow walk the red carpet – while Victoria Beckham slips in through the back entrance.

For the opening night themed party, Sienna, 41, who is expecting her second child – her first with boyfriend Oli Green, 26 – pushed the boundaries of maternity style by showing off her bump in a top short Schiaparelli couture and a puffy ball skirt.
Jodie put on the boldest display of the evening as she rocked in a simple black thong, silk evening gloves and a large black satin bow covering her chest which was seen on the Viktor & Rolf runway earlier this year.
Model Winnie, 29, oozed glamor in a plunging black velvet Zuhair Murad dress with a white satin coat which brought plenty of drama with its bouffant neckline, while Rita, 32, turned heads in a tail dress of black fish Alia.
The event – dubbed Britain’s answer to the iconic Met Gala – is the brainchild of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, but viewers, who watched it via the YouTube livestream, turned to the social media to admit they were left baffled by the “bizarre” show. .
