Neighbor, Lakshmi Anand said the owner of the house was baffled by the accident.
“The lady was shocked when I spoke to her yesterday, she was a bit shaken and we tried to calm her down,” Anand told Nine News.
“As it was dark and wet, I think he (the driver) lost control and went straight in.
“He’d probably be shocked too.”
The family that owns the property is now tasked with organizing a tow truck to remove the car from their pool.
The back fence will also need to be repaired.
New South Wales Police are investigating whether speed was a factor in the crash.
The hatchbank is seen on its side in the family’s swimming pool after crashing into the rear fence.
