The past few years have witnessed the growth of the Japanese publishing company Capcom significantly, after the company witnessed earlier a period of great turmoil that almost led to bankruptcy, but the company revealed that it is very happy with the results of the fiscal year 2022/2023, which began in April 2023 and ended in March 2023.
in its report last quarterly fiscal yearCapcom revealed that sales of its games during that period were more than ever, and had not been achieved in one fiscal year, as the company sold 41.7 million copies across all platforms, while the company had reached the fiscal year 2021/2022 to 32.6 million copies sold.
Interestingly, the majority of these sales came from the company’s previous titles rather than the new releases, as the company has accumulated 29.3 million copies sold with the likes of Monster Hunter World, Monster Hunter Rise, Resident Evil Village, Devil May Cry 5, and more.
As for the new titles, the Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak expansion contributed 5.45 million copies, while the recently released Resident Evil 4 remake achieved 3.75 million copies sold, knowing that it exceeded 4 million copies sold last April.
Overall, Capcom’s financial income increased by 18.4% from the previous fiscal year while the company’s net sales increased by 14.4%. Capcom expects similar growth in the current fiscal year as well.
