Coles shoppers are left “blown away” after discovering what they believe is an affordable alternative to Dyson’s Airwrap for just a fraction of the price.
Laila Cookefrom Melbourne, scored the $99 styling tool as part of the supermarket’s Best Buys deal.
The beauty device comes with the five attachments you need to create voluminous curls, natural waves and smooth blow-dry finishes.
After washing her hair, Laila decided to try the tool to see if it was worth it.
“It’s not as grippy as the real Dyson, but it definitely gets the job done,” he said in his verdict after testing the product, stating: “PSA Aussie girls – Dyson Airwrap duped for $99 at Coles – thanks later.”
She started with the dryer attachment, turning her hair from wet to damp while switching between medium and high heat.
“I’m actually quite impressed,” Laila said.
‘I didn’t feel it very strong but it dried my hair pretty quickly. Am I going to say it took between two and three minutes?

Then it was on to the “best” part: the curling attachment, a tool known for creating loose, bouncy waves.
“I’m very happy with the curls, I think they’re good,” she said.
To set the curls and add volume to her hair, she placed each section on a roller after using the barrel attachment.
“I’m going to style the rest of my hair (like this),” she explained.
Once she styled her hair with the tool, she removed all the curlers from her hair to reveal salon-quality curls.
“Considering I bought it at my local supermarket, I’m pretty impressed and would recommend it,” Laila said.
The styling tool will only be available for a limited time, so you’ll have to be quick.
‘I work at Coles. I post all the new products from Best Buys every Friday. There were only about six of these per store. Once sold, they don’t come back for a year,” an employee commented beneath the video.
