As the second round of the presidential elections approaches, Brazil has seen a series of attacks against sympathizers, journalists and activists of the Workers' Party.

Most of the violence has been attributed to supporters of far-right candidate Jair Bolsonaro, who heads the polls.

However, Bolsonaro himself was also the victim of a sharp attack last month.

Daniel Schweimler from Al Jazeera reports from Sao Paulo.
