On Point: Royal Academy of Dance at 100 is a free exhibition curated by V&A and RAD to celebrate 100 years of the organization.
It tells the story of how the academy has shaped the future of dance education and is the first time in its history that RAD has given access to its archive on such a scale.
Last year, the Duchess of Cornwall revealed she is starting the day with ballet classes and a ‘little bit of Pilates’ to stay fit during the corona lockdown.
Camilla shared her secret in a video call on the occasion of International Dance Day with Darcey Bussell, the former principal dancer of the Royal Ballet and president of The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD), and former news anchor Angela Rippon.

The Duchess revealed that she had secretly taken ballet lessons at home with a group of friends for the past 18 months, and also shared her and Prince Charles’ experiences with the lockdown.
Camilla admitted, “Well, it’s very odd. My husband is a workaholic so it’s work wherever he is. We try to do something for our charities most days.
“We have to stay active or we’ll all eat up and we won’t get out of bed in the morning. It doesn’t matter if it’s ten minutes. It doesn’t matter if it’s ten minutes or 20 minutes, it just starts the day. ‘
Camilla revealed she starts her day with “a little bit of Silver Swans and a little bit of Pilates…and a lot of walking, which I love,” she added.
