A body language expert claimed that Queen Camilla “let down her signature guard” and was “more relaxed than ever” at her first royal engagement since announcing her new official titles.
Charles and Camilla visited the Talbot Yard Food Court in the North Yorkshire town of Malton this afternoon – where the Queen was greeted with a bouquet of flowers.
King Charles confirmed last night that his wife’s new title is Queen Camilla as his official coronation invitations were revealed.
Speaking to FEMAIL, body language expert Judi James said the ad clearly gave the Queen a “confidence boost”.
She explained, “Camila’s first outing since announcing the title reflects this sense of a confidence upgrade.”

The expert said there was indeed a clear shift in the Queen’s behavior and how she carried herself in public today.
She noted: ‘(Camilla) was the most comfortable we’ve ever seen. It is as if the weight has been lifted.
Suddenly we see her smiling directly at the camera with all-encompassing gestures like a beaming mouth grin and a twinkling eye expression that makes her appear friendly and direct instead of a little wary, which has been her signature look for years.
It’s as if some of the stress and anxiety about her public acceptance has now cleared up.
And while Camilla spent years publicly showing her support for Charles, Judy noted how happy the King was for his wife to take the lead today.
As the couple chatted to royal fans in the crowd, Jodie added: “All of a sudden, Charles was staring at his wife with what looked like pride, and not the other way around.”
On previous engagements, Jodi had noted how happy Camilla seemed to Charles for her “eclipse”.
And highlighting how today’s interaction showed a marked change, the expert continued: ‘On visits, she’ll often walk behind Charles, take a cue from him and stand back while he takes the spotlight.

Judy says King Charles showed his “pride” in his wife with this adoring look. Meanwhile, the expert said Camila looked like a “weight lifted”.

Queen Camilla was all smiles as the couple braved the rain in Yorkshire today in their first royal engagement since the invitations to the coronation were launched.
Camilla has been scanning her husband’s face to support, endorse, and monitor his every mood but now we’re showing seismic movement in this dynamic.
What’s more, the expert noticed how Charles and Camilla recreated the attitude to the coronation invitation when they were standing in the doorway of a local business.
As Charles puts one hand in his pocket, his wife sticks out the camera with both hands on either side.
Highlighting how Camila is directly facing the camera, Jodi said, ‘Her eye contact exudes confidence.
Charles looks a little wary here, his torso turned toward his wife with his hand stuffed in his pocket.
“His smile appears forced, his eyebrows drawn, and his less direct gaze suggest a lower level of confidence than Camilla’s.”

Jodi James noted how the couple had previously posed for formal photos against the landscape — like this one taken at Hillsborough Castle in April 2019.
However, Judy says the coronation invitation photo – taken at Buckingham Palace – was “a powerful message about a shift in stature.”
She explained, ‘Their previous official photos as a couple only indicated a balance of power and status when the shots were casual and informal, and were taken in the garden rather than in a regal setting.
The new coronation image shows the two equals standing close together, with Camilla slightly in front of Charles’ torso.
“They look hip and twinkle in a smile as if they are both inviting us to join them on the occasion.”
The coronation invitation, which will reach 2,000 guests, was designed by Andrew Jamison, a heraldry artist, calligrapher and manuscript illustrator with 40 years of experience.
It is the sister of the Art Workers’ Guild, a body of more than 400 artists, craftsmen, and architects who work to the highest standards of excellence in their professions. King is an honorary member.
A writer and illustrator for His Majesty’s Crown Office in London, where he produces royal patents and state documents, Mr Jamieson lit the Royal Letters Patent issued in 2011 to create Prince William, Duke of Cambridge, Earl of Strathearn and Baron Carrickfergus when he married.
