Camila Cabello has confirmed that she felt ‘liberated’ after a TikTok video showing her ‘stripped tummy’ went viral during a recent run.

The singer, 24, told The Kyle and Jackie O Show on Tuesday, she was pleased that fans had identified with the powerful images, after radio host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson praised her for “setting a great example for young girls.”

When Jackie, 46, admitted that the video “really stuck with her,” Camila replied, “It really means a lot, especially the feeling of women supporting her.”

She added: “There are people who came to me at the airport like, ‘I love your body positivity video.’ It just made me feel like women resonated with that, and also supported me and stood up for me that way.

“I felt liberated to be myself.”

Jackie fully agreed, adding that thanks to Camila’s video, she’s now thinking ‘what then?’ when she sees a bad photo of herself.

“Camila Cabello doesn’t care, she’s outside and proud. Why should we suck our guts and hold ourselves to this standard?’ she said to the star.

“Hallelujah we have women like Camila who are such a great role model for girls who are so unreachable on Instagram.”
