Larrikin Queensland five-eighth Cameron Munster has expressed his only regret at dragging Andrew Johns onto live TV in relation to his ongoing feud with older brother Matthew.
During the build-up to Game 2 at Suncorp Stadium on Wednesday, Munster asked Johns: “Have you reconciled with your brother?” during a live cross for Channel Nine’s Sunday Footy Show.
Munster then laughed with fellow Queenslander Johnathan Thurston, leaving Johns seething as he stared at the camera to death and was finally heard saying, “What brother?”
The cheeky pivot has since admitted his gag was inappropriate.
“It just occurred to me,” Munster told the Sydney Morning Herald.

Andrew Johns was unimpressed with Munster’s banter and launched into a long death stare as the cameras continued to roll
“If you know me, I’m pretty impulsive. If something crosses my mind, I’ll say it. There is no filter unfortunately.
“Was it the right time? Probably not. I just thought it was funny television.
“He would probably do the same with me. There is no disrespect there. I respect him as a person and as a former player.
The feud between the football siblings began when Matthew Johns hailed coach Billy Slater and Queensland’s ability to own great Origin moments on SEN Radio last month.
Andrew Johns is part of the NSW Blues coaching staff.
“Man, I’m sick of you rapping about Queensland, that’s what I’m sick of,” fumed Andrew, who is widely regarded as the Blues’ best player.
“Put on your brown jersey, you should have some at home.
“Just because you’ve played four games and lost all four doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice NSW.”

SEN station boss Craig Hutchison was convinced the siblings would eventually be on the same page – perhaps once the Origin 2023 series is over – but Andrew Johns instead chose to step back from his radio commitments recently as the tension threatens to boil over.
The eighth NRL Immortal was a regular on the airwaves on the morning glory show every Friday with his older brother and sports journalist Andrew Webster.
While Matthew Origin’s career was relatively short, his brother played 23 times for the Blues, including a legendary man-of-the-match performance in Game 2 of the 2005 series.
The pair have faced each other often over the years, with most of their clashes being in good spirits.
Last July, Matthew took advantage of a radio debate on the state of origin to savagely hit his brother on his love life.
Team NSW are known to regularly remove stars from their squad – often when fans think they don’t deserve to be kicked out – while Queensland are seen as showing more loyalty to their players .

By contrast, Andrew Johns is considered by many football fans to be the Blues’ greatest ever player (pictured, in 2005)
Matty used Andrew – who is in his third long-term relationship – to sum up the Blues selection process.
“It’s very NSW. I want people to know… that they’re extremely worried. Don’t marry anyone from NSW because we fall in love with new acquaintances very easily,’ he said on SEN.
“What you do is you get rid of it. Just bring someone else.
“I mean the best example is our greatest player ever, Andrew Johns, I think he’s on his third wife.”
