LA Sparks rookie Cameron Brink suffered knee injury, team sayingwhen the fan-favorite forward was carted off the field Tuesday night.
Brink fell while trying to get past Connecticut Sun center Brionna Jones, leaving her screaming in pain, as captured on the NBA television broadcast of the game.
The rookie lost her balance as she headed toward the hoop while Jones defended her forcefully.
Her teammates helped her to her feet and she was able to limp, but she shook her head as she left the game to receive medical attention.
Brink seemed to have trouble putting weight on her leg and trainers helped her to the locker room.

Brink screamed in pain after falling and injuring himself, before exiting the game.
The Sparks later said in X that she would not return to the game.
He had zero points in four minutes at the time of his injury.
Brink’s apparent injury comes less than two weeks after she was named to the United States women’s 3×3 basketball team for the Olympics.
The 22-year-old burst into tears when she found out she would represent the Stars and Stripes this summer.
Brink was included on the list alongside Cierra Burdick, Rhyne Howard and Hailey Van Lith.

Cameron Brink broke down in tears upon learning she had made the cut for the U.S. Olympic women’s 3×3 team this summer in Paris.
“I am very grateful to have been selected and it is an honor to represent the United States at the Paris Olympics this year,” she said, according to The Associated Press.
The Olympics will begin in just five weeks, on July 26, meaning Brink could miss the tournament if his injury is serious.
The United States won the inaugural 3×3 title at the Tokyo Games with Allisha Gray, Stefanie Dolson, Jackie Young and Kelsey Plum.
The team will be coached by Connecticut Sun President Jennifer Rizzotti, while University of Rhode Island coach Tammi Reiss will assist.
