Call Her Daddy star Alex Cooper has sparked a viral debate after sharing his favorite pasta recipe, while also revealing a unique ingredient he uses to make it.
The 29-year-old podcaster sparked a food crisis when she first posted her ‘girl recipe’ dinner on TikTok, where she has more than 1.8 million followers.
“This is one of my girl dinners, but I know people are going to say, ‘That’s fucking disgusting,'” admitted Alex, who signed a three-year, $60 million podcast deal with Spotify in 2022, in the camera while he began to prepare the peculiar dish.
She went on to explain that her now-husband, Matt Kaplan, flatly refuses to even try the pasta dish, joking that she was taking the opportunity to enjoy it at home while he went out to dinner.

He went on to show off the special sauce for his pasta: Progresso’s Garlic and Herb White Clam Sauce, noting that “my mom raised me on this.”
“Matt looks at him and says, ‘clams in a can, that could never be me,'” he said while laughing.
And I said, “It could always be me.” Some find it disgusting. For me it is soup for the soul.
‘Let me show you the can. Before you judge, shut up. When Matt is away, Alex will play. Well? Don’t all be scared at the same time. So this is it. My clam sauce,” he said, as he held it up proudly.
Alex then showed viewers the two pots he was heating on the stove, one for the spaghetti and the other for the clam sauce.
“This is about to go on and then I’m going to stir it up,” he explained after pouring the clam sauce into a frying pan. “Then I’m going to put in some Parmesan cheese, obviously not real Parmesan cheese (but) Kraft Parmesan cheese.”
He then issued a warning to anyone who saw the video, saying: ‘Judgement, it’s not for this page.’ There are pages that I really think you could infiltrate and do a really good job.
‘This clam sauce is not to be disrespected, it is not. This is my childhood and this is my stomach.
He went on to show off the special sauce for his pasta: Progresso’s Garlic and Herb White Clam Sauce, noting that “my mom raised me on this.”

As she stirred the pot, she jokingly referred to herself as the popular cook, Betty Crocker.
Once the spaghetti was ready, he used a furry sock as a pot holder and drained the pasta, while placing his face in the steaming air.
He placed the pasta on a plate and then poured the clam sauce on top, telling viewers, “Now comes the fun part.”
After pouring the clam sauce into the pasta dish, Alex topped it off with a sprinkle of cheese from a plastic container.
“I’m not going to lie, it doesn’t look amazing,” he admitted while stirring the mixture. ‘But the taste of this? Guys, you don’t understand.
“The happiness this brings me, it’s so good, guys.”
As he affectionately dug into the pasta, he rhetorically asked onlookers, “Is it disgusting to eat here?”
She captioned her video: “Please tell me someone else eats this.”
Her clip garnered over 910,800 views, 67,000 likes, and 919 mixed comments.
Some of her followers were fans of this unique food and others even grew up with it too.

One person jokingly commented, ‘I almost *ALMOST* judged it, but then I remembered I like canned Spam meat, so… buy canned clams and try this!’
Other followers did not agree with the idea of the food.

However, Alex was not deterred, even posting another video of her enjoying the dish just a few weeks ago.
In May she posted a video of herself devouring spaghetti on TikTok and said: “We’re about to eat my favorite pasta dish.” Good heavens, with a garnish of wine. Health.
Alex wasn’t deterred by criticism of her food, and even shared another video of her eating the dish last month.
‘Where did I buy this wonderful food? I made it, from a can. Matt thinks it’s the most disgusting thing.
“I think it’s the most glorious and beautiful thing. When I was a child, my mom didn’t cook. It was always my dad cooking.
“So when my dad was away, because he traveled a lot, my mom would always say, ‘pasta or microwave?’ “That’s literally all I have to offer you.”
‘She would always make my brothers and I Stouffer’s microwaves – I am obsessed.
‘Swedish meatballs are bomb. The beef macaroni is a bomb. The turkey and mashed potatoes – bomb. I was a Stouffer’s microwave kid.
She continued: ‘And then my dad would come home and cook us a delicious meal, but something that my mom always made that was like my comfort food, is this.
‘It’s white clam sauce with garlic and herbs from a can of Progresso, and when Matt isn’t eating with me, this is my girls’ dinner.
“I always tell Matt that if he was served this in a restaurant, he would love it; it’s just because he knows it’s canned, he can’t eat it.”
Last year, Alex launched his own talent agency, called The Unwell Network, which represents rising Gen Z influencers.

“It’s funny, because Matt and I talk a lot about our childhood and I’m like, ‘Oh, pasta was my thing.’
‘My parents always gave us pasta, and for Matt, it was rice.
‘And I never felt like I had eaten rice as a child. It was always pasta.
‘It’s such a fucking bomb. Health. This literally makes me sweat, but it’s a good sweat.
‘Wow. I wish I could trick Matt into eating this. I’m completely sweating. I love pasta when it’s very hot.’
His second video obtained more than four million views, 234,000 likes and 2,523 comments.
