CALL FROM THE CITY: It’s the first WAG war when Coleen Rooney plans to sue Rebekah Vardy

CITY CALL: Colleen Rooney threatens Rebekah Vardy with Supreme Court penalty after prolonging deadlock talks

The WAG war between Coleen Rooney and Rebekah Vardy is about to become nuclear.

The women’s football players are at odds after Coleen accused Rebekah of leaking stories about her last year, and the pair held a video meeting last week in a final attempt to avoid a very public and expensive court hearing.

But I can reveal that they have not found a solution.

Colleen Rooney, left, and Rebekah Vardy, right, held a video meeting this week to clear out their disagreements over claims. Mrs. Vardy leaked stories about Mrs. Rooney

My well-placed source said, “The girls are still no further forward, so it will now have to be heard in court.

“It is unfortunate that it has come this far, but there is no other way. Coleen has enough evidence, and she’s not afraid to show it. ‘

The women held an online alternative dispute resolution mediation meeting with their lawyers last week after it was alleged that Becky, 38, wife of Leicester City and English striker Jamie Vardy, was threatening to sue Coleen for defamation.

Coleen, 34, whose husband Wayne is now a player-coach in Derby County, is believed to go against privacy.

The amazing feud started last October when Coleen revealed details of her investigation into the source of a series of stories about her family. In a trick that earned her the nickname “Wagatha Christie,” the mother of four said she planted fake stories on her private social media accounts and then blocked all her followers except Becky to see if any of the stories had leaked.

It sparked an extraordinary war of words between the pair and Coleen’s close friends insisting she doesn’t flinch and said, “She’s got the evidence – it’s all there. It is a matter of ‘bring it on’.

“Her proof is absolutely bulletproof and she’s all there.

“It is clearly not ideal, but Coleen will continue. She’s sitting right here. “
