CALL FROM THE CITY: Ellie Goulding reveals she needed to be baptized for her lavish marriage to Caspar Jopling

Ellie Goulding has revealed that there was a minor issue that needed to be resolved before her lavish marriage to Old Etonian Caspar Jopling could continue in York Minster last summer – she needed to be baptized first.
“I never grew up with a particular religion when my husband was,” said the pop star on her big day. “So I was baptized so I could get married.”
Ellie – who was linked to Prince Harry in 2016 – also admitted that her love life was a mess before meeting Caspar, a former Sotheby art dealer.
“I kissed quite a few frogs. That sounds harsh, but that’s the best way to put it, ”she jokes. “I had a few relationships for Caspar … that was not what I thought they were.
“But when I met Caspar, I just knew.”
I never dropped Harry as a frog …

Former Interior Minister Amber Rudd has found love again, I can reveal.
The 56-year-old, who has two children from her marriage to late critic A.A. Gill, goes out with businessman Anthony Agar, 58.
The pair met through Amber’s new job as a senior advisor at London-based consultancy Teneo, and I have been told that the couple is making the most of the lockdown by spending their evenings listening to jazz and watching thrillers.
A friend tells me, “Amber is the happiest she’s been in years.”
