In the images of the moment of the alleged cannibalization, several sheriff’s vehicles descended on the Amtrack railroad tracks.

It appeared that the area was still active since the person was hit by the train, which arrived shortly after 8 in the morning.

The man, identified by police as Téllez, was walking casually down the street while holding his leg with one hand.

He then leaned over and sniffed the leg, wiped his mouth and turned it as the officers approached the disgusting episode.

Authorities said Tellez was arrested without incident and was found to have several outstanding warrants.

The Burlington Northern Santa Rail Company confirmed to ABC23 that one of its trains was involved in the fatal collision.

They said the person was hit while standing in front of an Amtrak platform, however the investigation is still ongoing.

Tellez remains in custody and is scheduled to appear in court on March 26.
