Caitlyn Jenner’s mother, Esther Jenner, has passed away at the age of 96.
The Keeping Up With The Kardashians star announced the sad news in a heartfelt Instagram post on Friday.
There was a happy photo of Cailtyn – who used to be married to Kris Jenner – with her mom at a birthday celebration.
Caitlyn, 73, co-starred with her mom on the reality TV show I Am Cait that aired from 2015 through 2016.
Jenner’s mother was also close with her two daughters, who she had with Kris: Kendall and Kylie Jenner.

“I am so saddened to announce that my mother passed away peacefully yesterday morning,” Jenner wrote.
Losing a mother is unique in the sense that she was the only person who loved me in my entire life. I will miss her so much.
She was just a few weeks shy of 97 and has lived a full life. I love you Mom.’
Caitlyn Marie Jenner is a former Olympic gold medalist, decathlete.
Jenner played college football for the Graceland Yellow Jackets before suffering a knee injury that required surgery.
Jenner then went on to become a reality TV star with Keeping Up With The Kardashians and then, later, I’m Kate.

Esther took Caitlin in 1949, in Mount Kisco, New York, with her husband by the name of William Bruce Jenner, who was an arborist in New Brunswick, Canada.
In 2022, Esther made headlines when she said she wasn’t a fan of the Hulu series The Kardashians.
“I think The Kardashian Show is the most meaningless thing I’ve ever watched,” Esther told the US Sun.
But they were raised by my granddaughters, Kendall and Kylie, and I love them very much.
They are my blood. And my four grandchildren—Kim, Kourtney, Khloe, and Robert—feel like mine, too.
Caitlyn wasn’t asked to be on The Kardashians.

I don’t know if Caitlin even cares. She said: It’s something we haven’t even discussed.
At the time, Esther said she and Kaitlyn were very close: “We probably talk three or four times a week. I have to live with whatever decisions[she]makes and support her in whatever[she]chooses.” I’m not in control, Esther added.
After the interview took place, Kate’s representative told PageSix that Esther was not sane.
Kaitlyn’s 96-year-old mother is elderly. She lives alone in a house. Caitlyn has 24/7 armed security and doesn’t fear for her safety. All comments regarding the Kardashian and Jenner kids are that private woman’s opinion and it was hurtful for Caitlyn to read in the press.
