Caitlyn Jenner was brutally mocked for supporting President Donald Trump even after he signed an executive order recognizing only two genders.
Jenner, one of the most recognizable transgender women in the world, has supported Trump since 2016 and has been a Republican for years.
“Congratulations Mr. President. Thank God!’ Jenner posted on X the afternoon Trump was inaugurated.
The backlash was swift, with many people calling her “Bruce,” calling her a hypocrite for supporting a man who is so against her community, and replying with photos of her before she transitioned.
“So Bruce, how do you feel now that Trump has signed an executive order that there are only two immutable genders, and that your gender should be accurately reflected,” one person wrote. “How does it feel to be a man again?”
“Sure, whatever. He just sent you back to Bruce,” another replied with a photo of Jenner from the 1990s, years before she transitioned in 2015.
“You have about half an hour left as a madam and it’s back to Mr. Bruce,” a third wrote in response.
A fourth simply replied: ‘You are a disgrace to your entire community.’

Jenner also made a series of Instagram posts on Inauguration Day. In one, she declared that she was “happier than ever” supporting Trump.
That post was also filled with mocking comments attacking the former Olympian and one-time gold medalist.
On Wednesday evening, she posted a photo of herself outside the Starlight Inaugural Ball, along with attorney general nominee Pam Bondi, Trump attorney Alina Habba, Jeanine Pirro and longtime friend Sophia Hutchins.
Comments on this post are limited, preventing an influx of abuse she experiences on X.
During his inaugural address, Trump made the official declaration that there are only two genders amid promises to rename the Gulf of Mexico, end “America’s decline” and repel the “invasion” of migrations at the southern border .
“Starting today, it will henceforth be the official policy of the United States government that there are only two genders: male and female,” he said, prompting a standing ovation from the Capitol Rotunda.
Trump echoed and expanded on this sentiment in an executive order he signed on Inauguration Day with the title: “Defending Women From Gender Ideology Extremism and Restoring Biological Truth to the Federal Government.”
“It is the policy of the United States to recognize two genders, male and female. These lineages are not mutable and are rooted in a fundamental and irrefutable reality,” the order said.

Jenner has yet to respond to Trump’s statements or the executive order.
The executive order was predictable given Trump’s previous statements on transgender issues on the campaign trail.
Speaking at AmericaFest in Arizona in December, Trump said: “With the stroke of a pen on Day 1, we are going to stop the transgender madness.
“And I will sign executive orders to end child mutilation, to get transgender people out of the military and out of our elementary, middle, and high schools.”
“And we will keep men out of women’s sports. And that will also happen on day 1. Should I do day 1, day 2 or day 3? What about day 1?’
Trump notably posted a series of tweets in July 2017 banning transgender people from serving in the military.
This reportedly blinded officials within the Pentagondespite Trump claiming he was advised to take action by “my generals and military experts.”
In January 2019, the Supreme Court upheld Trump’s transgender military ban.
After former President Joe Biden reversed it, Trump effectively reinstated the ban two days ago.

Jenner broke with Trump over the transgender military ban at the time, writing on social media: “There are 15,000 patriotic transgender Americans in the US military fighting for all of us. What happened to your promise to fight for them?’
She also called the ban a “half-baked idea” that “puts all of our service members at risk.”
In the 2021 election to recall California Governor Gavin Newsom, Jenner ran as a Republican.
After a campaign marred by a bad CNN interview, her decision to wait 70 days before holding her first press conference, and low voting numbers, Jenner received just one percent of the vote among six candidates.
After Trump won in November, Jenner said she was considering another run for governor of California.
Jenner added that she would “destroy” former Vice President Kamala Harris if she were to run for office in 2026.
