Caitlin Clark’s boyfriend Connor McCaffery gushed about the basketball sensation as she walked the orange carpet at the WNBA Draft on Monday.
Clark became the first athlete to wear an all-Prada outfit on draft night. The former Iowa Hawkeye stepped out in a satin miniskirt and jacket, a bedazzled tube top, and black heels.
When an X fan asked to see McCaffery’s reaction to his girlfriend’s outfit, he reposted the tweet with a surprised emoji, holding his hand over his mouth and drooling.
Clark then responded with a teary-eyed emoji.
Although it’s a mystery when they started dating, Clark went public with their romance with an Instagram post in August 2023. “Best end to summer,” she captioned a photo of them on a boat.

After a storied collegiate career that ended with back-to-back championship game appearances, Clark was selected by the Indiana Fever with the No. 1 overall pick on Monday.
“I got a little anxious before the pick,” Clark told ESPN.
“I’ve dreamed about this moment since I was in second grade, and it’s taken a lot of hard work, a lot of ups and downs, but more than anything, just trying to soak it in.”
Despite not being able to cap his NCAA career with a title, Clark’s senior year will be unforgettable. Before the tournament, Clark averaged 31.9 points, 7.3 rebounds and 8.9 assists per game.
Another highlight of his season was when he broke Pete Maravich’s all-time NCAA scoring record on March 3. In a game against Ohio State, Clark surpassed Pistol Pete’s career-high 3,667 points by reaching 3,685.

McCaffery showered Clark with support after his career ended in a title game loss.
Clark and the Iowa Hawkeyes lost to the University of South Carolina in their final college game.
Clark avenged Iowa’s 2023 championship game loss to the LSU Tigers in the Elite 8 and defeated Paige Bueckers and UConn in the Final 4 before losing to South Carolina in the finals.
“It’s really hard to win these things,” Clark wrote on Instagram after the loss. “I think I probably already know better than most people.”
‘Being so close twice, it definitely hurts. But at the same time we were there. We fight. We beat some really great teams to get back to this point and [did] something that’s really hard to do,” Clark continued.
However, McCaffery continued to show her support by posting a photo of Clark and writing ‘MY GOAT,’ with several heart emojis.
