Skip Bayless praised Angel Reese after Chicago Sky's thrilling 88-87 win over Indiana

Skip Bayless praised Angel Reese after the Chicago Sky’s thrilling 88-87 victory over Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever on Sunday.

The Fox Sports 1 host was quick to point out a key difference between the two rookie superstars, telling Clark he thought she was “better” than the performance she gave on the court.

“The first thing out of (Reese’s) mouth was, ‘I’ve got that dog in me,'” he said of the LSU alum’s postgame interview with ESPN’s Holly Rowe.

“On the contrary, I don’t know if (Clark) has that dog in him,” he continued.

‘You were either born with it or you weren’t, and you can’t nurture it, train it or teach it. That’s what you’re made of.

'The first thing that came out of his mouth was "I have that dog in me,"' Reese's said on Sunday

“The first thing out of his mouth was, ‘I have that dog inside me,'” he said of Reese on Sunday.

During the segment on Monday’s episode of Undisputed, Bayless emphasized how impressed he was with Reese, less than a week after punching the 22-year-old.

“For the first time as a professional basketball player, Angel definitely showed me what she’s made of, because they were in big trouble in that game,” she said.

As for Clark, he continued, “I know he’s talented, I know he definitely has a knack for passing the basketball… I know it’s really early, but I’m starting to wonder when I see what I saw yesterday.”

“I’m watching the last three quarters of this game and Caitlin was very calm, it reminded me of the championship game against South Carolina,” he said of Iowa’s NCAA loss to the Gamecocks in April.

“I thought you were a little better than that.”

Bayless has previously criticized Reese, going so far as to say that he “reeks of jealousy and bitterness” toward Clark.

“I don’t think she wants to be the villain, but she’s the instigator,” Bayless said after the Sky’s 91-83 loss to the Fever last week.

‘His later games reek a bit of jealousy and bitterness. That’s how I see it.’

The pundit also addressed Reese’s tone and choice of words in his postgame interviews, particularly his claim that referees have “a special whistle” for Clark.

“It just seems very negative,” Bayless said. “You guys,” as if the media were against them. I don’t think the media is against him.

‘And when it says ‘special whistle,’ I gotta tell you, I’ve watched every single one of Caitlin’s games. There have been many times where she tries to dribble the ball down the court and runs into a very physical defender who just hits her. And they never call him.

“I don’t see a special whistle.”
