Caitlin Clark has declined to confirm whether or not she will compete in the three-point contest at the WNBA All-Star Game.
It was announced earlier this week that Clark and Angel Reese will team up on the All-Star team to play against the U.S. Olympic team led by A’ja Wilson and Breanna Stewart.
The rookies were selected by a combination of media, player and fan votes, as well as the league’s 12 coaches, to play in the game in Phoenix on July 20. It is the 20th All-Star Game in league history.
Clark was the top fan vote-getter with 700,735 votes, while fellow Indiana native Aliyah Boston came in second, 72,000 votes behind. Reese came in fifth with 381,518 votes.
But Clark, whose famous 3-point shots are one of the reasons she is so adored by fans, remained coy when asked Friday if she will compete in the 3-point contest in Arizona.
She told reporters: “It remains to be seen, we’ll see.”
“I haven’t decided yet. I can’t give you all the answers today.”
