Caitlin Clark’s stellar rookie campaign reached another milestone Friday night when she broke the WNBA single-season record for assists.
Clark entered the game against the defending champion Las Vegas Aces just four assists shy of Connecticut Sun star Alyssa Thomas’ 316 assists in 2013.
In the first half of the game, the Indiana Fever star recorded her record 317th assist with her fifth pass of the night. Clark did so with an inbound pass to assist teammate Kelsey Mitchell.
The latest feat adds to Clark’s monumental season, in which he has broken multiple records on the court and inspired massive spikes in viewership and attendance across the league.
On July 17, Clark broke the single-game assists record by dishing out 19 assists against the Dallas Wings. Then, on August 19, he set the single-season assists record for a rookie.
