Caitlin Clark continues to break new ground just months after her sensational rookie season with the Indiana Fever.
In her game against the Dallas Wings on Wednesday night, Clark broke two new records on another remarkable night to strengthen her candidacy in the WNBA Rookie of the Year race.
The first came when he recorded his 202nd assist of the campaign for Indiana, which set a new franchise record for most in a single season, an incredible feat after just 26 games for the team.
And after recording a staggering 19 total against Dallas, the No. 1 draft pick also recorded the most assists in a single game by a rookie in WNBA history.
However, despite their heroics, the Fever fell 101-93 to the Wings at College Park Center.

It’s been a stunning debut season so far for Clark, who has already broken a number of major league records following his iconic college career with Iowa.
Earlier this month, she became the first rookie to record 400 points, 150 assists and 100 rebounds, as well as the first to record a triple-double.
Clark is currently competing with archrival Angel Reese for this season’s WNBA Rookie of the Year award, and opinion is divided on who should prevail.
Like her fellow rookie, Reese is enjoying an impressive campaign with the Chicago Sky and currently ranks second in the league in rebounds at 11.9 per game.
Clark, meanwhile, is the league’s highest-scoring rookie with an average of 16.8 points per game, while also leading the league in assists with 7.8 per game.
Clark recorded the most assists by a rookie in a single WNBA game (19) and also set a franchise record for assists in a single season (213).
However, despite their heroics, the Fever fell to a 101-93 defeat by the Wings.
As the debate continues over who will be crowned the winner, NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal picked Reese as his “definitive” favorite this week.
“I’m not just saying this because she went to LSU,” O’Neal, who attended the same university as Reese, said on ESPN’s SportsCenter.
‘But I think she’s definitely leading the Rookie of the Year race.
‘I give my vote to Angel.’
Despite choosing Reese as his Rookie of the Year, Shaq praised Clark for her record-breaking season so far in Indiana.
“Caitlin is a fabulous player, the female Steph Curry,” she continued. “They (Clark and Reese) have done so much for the game.

‘Caitlin and Angel, thanks to social media and all the media, really brought the game to where it should have been 10 years ago.
‘I’m very happy for women’s basketball, they always play hard and their fundamentals are great.
“But listen, Caitlin Clark is a fabulous player, Angel Reese is a fabulous player… but I’m going to give it to Angel Reese right now.”
