Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese are in the house as the WNBA’s star rookies prepare to put aside their bitter rivalry and team up in tonight’s All-Star Game.
Amid their intense battle for Rookie of the Year, Clark and Reese will join forces on Team WNBA as they look to mark their first All-Game appearances with a win over USA Basketball.
Sensations Indiana Fever and Chicago Sky arrived at the Footprint Center just under two hours before the show was set to begin, and both looked glamorous as they made their grand entrances.
On the eve of Saturday’s All-Star Game, Reese joked that she’ll be friends with Clark “for a day” when she becomes teammates with her on-court nemesis.
“That’s what everyone wants to see,” he told ESPN. “I’m looking forward to it. Everyone will be able to wear the ‘Get Along’ shirt together for at least one day.”

She added: “We haven’t talked yet, obviously everyone can cheer us both on for a day. It’ll be great. I’m excited, this will be the first of many.”
“In the future we’ll be on All-Star teams together, on Olympic teams together (holds up fingers crossed) in the future as well. I’m excited to be here right now. I’m happy.”
Meanwhile, Clark had nothing but respect for Reese after the two practiced together on Friday.
“It’s very weird to be here as a rookie and then to have two of us is really cool overall,” the Fever star said. “I think it will continue to help the growth of the game.”
She also backed her rookie rival to dominate Saturday’s All-Star Game in one key area, adding: “She’ll probably lead the game in rebounding. I expect that from her. That’s what she does.”
Despite the mutual kindness on Friday, just hours before the next day’s all-important game, Reese appeared to launch a thinly veiled criticism of Clark along with Chicago teammate Chennedy Carter.
While Clark was not directly mentioned in the online interaction between the Sky duo, Carter did imply that she will only tune in to the high-profile matchup against the U.S. women’s Olympic basketball team to watch her WNBA colleague play.
‘Looking at Barbie and only Barbie #WNBAAllStar,’ Carter posted on X.
Reese replied, “You should be here, but I’m playing for you today, CHENDOLL!”
In June, Carter and Reese sparked controversy by laughing together after the former pushed Clark to the ground in their game against the Fever.
