A highly anticipated chocolate bar has sparked heated debate after foodies claimed the sweet tastes “different” to what they expected.
Previously, Australians were overjoyed after hearing rumors about a new Cadbury mud cake chocolate block.
The block consists of a mix of Cadbury Dairy Milk chocolate and white chocolate with a rich cocoa cream and a piece of biscuit in the centre.
It launched in select Woolworths stores on June 6 and will launch in more locations in the coming days.
“This is a very nice block of chocolate, but it doesn’t taste like mud pie,” said food blogger Nectro Vlangos, who goes by Nectorious Daddy online.

“The good news is it tastes good, it has a nice crunch,” he said.
‘It tastes like marble on the outside and on the inside like Cadbury block milk chocolate.
‘It doesn’t taste like mud pie. I would have loved to see some pieces of cake instead of a filling to make it really look like a mud pie.’

“This is a block of dairy milk in a mud pie packaging; it’s not a mud pie at all, there’s too much white chocolate,” he said.
Nick revealed that he was hoping for a “dense brownie cookie filling” that had the “texture of a moist brownie.”
He still gave the block a nine out of ten rating for flavor, but stressed that it didn’t taste like your typical mud pie.
