A Byron Bay bohemian couple known for their free-spirited, erotic lifestyle have announced the birth of their ‘rainbow’ daughter.
Sally Mustang and Mitch Gobel welcomed a baby girl named Ara Gold on Nov. 30, four years after giving birth to their first child, Azure Sitara.
‘In the rain at dusk. The holy rainbow that is you, came down my legs. Your face that is sweetness. Your spirit that is fire. Your star dancing soul,” Sally said in a sweet Instagram post on Tuesday.
‘Welcome to our world. Mustang Ara Oro. Our daughter. He was born beautifully at home right after a rainbow in the sky. Blessed two-hour work on the last day of spring.
“Hearts are about to burst.”
The excited parents shared candid photos of their newborn daughter sleeping in bed just days after her arrival.
“The birth really blessed us all,” Sally said.
‘More to share, but for now immerse myself in the ecstasy that is my daughter.’

Thousands shared their well wishes and congratulated the couple on the arrival of their beautiful ‘rainbow’ baby girl, Ara Gold.
‘Congratulations to your warrior princess. I am more than happy for you and your family. And now there is an older brother in the house,’ said one.
‘She’s here. Ara Gold, our rainbow golden ray of sunshine, you are already so loved. “I’m so proud of you mom,” another shared.
‘Welcome to Earth’s side, little soul. “What a life I have come to!” added one.
It’s the news parents have been waiting for years after Sally suffered two devastating pregnancy losses.
In June 2021, the distraught mother detailed how she had suffered a miscarriage.
‘Before experiencing it myself, I guess I thought it was like a heavy cycle. Heavy bleeding. It wasn’t. It was birth and death. Together. With surges, contractions, waves, whatever you want to call them,” Sally said at the time.
The bohemian couple from Byron Bay are now parents to their adorable son – Azure Sitara
‘It was an experience beyond the veil, like birth, where time stops and one enters through the sacred doors of life and death.
‘Three moons carrying you. Sharing a home with you before you left… The night we came home after discovering your heartbeat had stopped, I walked up the stairs confused and hurt. There was no power. A blackout. No light. Which seemed appropriate for the moment.”
Feeling like time had stopped, the couple wandered around their house lighting 50 candles in the dark.
“The whole house became an altar,” Sally recalled.
‘With the flame flickering all over the wooden walls. Obsessed. We both tried to sleep, lying in bed with Azure between us, holding hands. Without saying anything.
“A heavy silence hangs over our heads.”
The couple is known for their bold Instagram photos and free-spirited lifestyle.
The couple were left reeling once again in April 2023 after Sally lost her baby to an ectopic pregnancy, where a fertilized egg implants outside the uterus, usually in one of the fallopian tubes.
‘This is the second time I have facilitated life and death within me. My third pregnancy. This time an ectopic pregnancy,” she said.
‘My lips hurt from biting them. From stress. Of sadness. My heart is broken, but open. My girl Azure is my light.
‘Trust this journey called life. Trusting this spirit, who knows more than me. Trusting my body. Trusting in myself. The beauty is exquisite and undeniably dark. But I’m here to learn the beauty of it all.’
Sally and Mitch first set the internet alight when they began sharing intimate details of what goes on between the sheets in 2016.

Their bohemian adventures quickly earned them 585,000 followers on Instagram.
Photo shoots and fame followed for the couple before Sally took to her personal profile in May 2017 to announce they had split in a shocking split, leaving fans devastated.
However, the couple eventually agreed to an open relationship before rekindling their love, and Mitch proposed to Sally in 2018.
The couple tied the knot in an intimate fairytale forest wedding in May 2019, complete with floral blessings, hand-sewn outfits and pagan prayers.
Sally previously spoke about the birth of her first child, Azure, which took place in a birthing pool at her home after 22 hours of labour, calling it the most “excruciating” pain she had ever experienced.
