For sports director Sebastian Kehl, not much has changed with the change in role from hunter to hunted at Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund.
“The fact that we continue to deliver games like this and that we have to remain focused has definitely not changed,” said Kehl after the new leaders’ convincing 4-0 (3-0) against Eintracht Frankfurt.
BVB is now one point ahead of the struggling series champions Bayern Munich with five games to go before the end of the season. “There will still be a few tough match days. We know how difficult it will be in Bochum on Friday evening,” said Kehl.
After the victory in the majority at VfB Stuttgart (3: 3), which was given away carelessly, “the table picture today is much more pleasant than last week, pinching your ass”.
For coach Edin Terzic, the jump to the top was a “good step”. If everyone would work in the same direction, “then we can achieve great things,” emphasized Terzic, who did not go to the south stand after the final whistle despite the shouts from the fans. His reason: “I’m not done yet.”
