Busy Philipps revealed earlier this month that her 12-year-old Birdie identifies as “femme-presenting-nonbinary” after coming out at age 10.

The 41-year-old actress and her child are celebrating the start of Pride Month by giving back to a local LGBTQIA+ center that has supported their family over the years, she revealed in an Instagram post on Tuesday.

In the social media post, the actress sputtered about Birdie collecting “hundreds” of beauty and hygiene products that will be sent free to Busy and her influencer friends to donate.

Today is the start of PRIDE MONTH! I’m so proud of this kid and everything they are and do,” Busy gushed on Instagram.

She posed for a series of snaps in a special black T-shirt with the word ‘family’ painted in multiple colors alongside Birdie wearing a series of funky green clips in her hair.

“The t-shirt I’m wearing is from @thehaasbrothers x @citizensofhumanity in honor of Pride 2021 and 100% of the sale price of every t-shirt sold will be donated to LA’s LGBTQIA+ center,” Busy wrote.

Adding: ‘The @lalgbtcenter has been incredibly helpful to my family over the years, providing support and education and a sense of community.’

Along with the selfies, Busy shared photos of plastic storage bins, cardboard boxes and bags full of stuff Birdie collected to donate to the center.

“One incredible thing Birdie did last year (which I’d like to brag about now),” beamed the proud mom, “is that after seeing all the beauty products I’ve gotten from brands that haven’t been used or given away, Birdie decided to collect the unopened makeup and hygiene items from me and other types of influencers (actors, singers, makeup and hair artists) to donate to the @lalgbtcenter for the queer and trans youth where the Center is a safe space for.’

‘Good. Thanks to many of my friends, Birdie was able to donate HUNDREDS of items to the center,” she continued, adding, “HAPPY PRIDE MY LOVES!!!”

Earlier this month, Philipps revealed that Birdie identifies as “femme-presenting nonbinary.”

The former Dawson’s Creek discussed her child’s gender identity in the June issue of Health magazine while promoting her new Peacock series Girls5eva.

This comes after Philipps — who also has a seven-year-old daughter Cricket with director husband Marc Silverstein — shared on her podcast last year that Birdie came out with her at age 10.

In the Health interview, Busy shared Birdie’s identity when it came to wellness.

'Good. Thanks to many of my friends, Birdie was able to donate HUNDREDS of items to the center,

‘From an early age, girls are expected to take care of other people, I must say girls or female presenters. That’s what Birdie is, a female presenter,” Philipps said.

She also told writer Bethany Heitman to explain to her mother Barbara Philipps, “You don’t have to understand.”

About Birdie and non-binary pronouns are: “My mom is older and wants to understand the conversation about the pronoun better.”

“I said to my mother, ‘This is the deal: ‘You don’t have to understand.’ That’s how I think about all human rights – you don’t have to understand it. You can choose to believe what you want, but you don’t get jurisdiction over someone else’s body or belief system.”

In January, on her show Busy Philipps Is Doing Her Best, the star said Birdie was “gay and out.”

She added to the podcast episode, “Birdie told us when they were 10 years old and we immediately… I mean, of course, I knew Birdie knew.”

Philipps also shared that Birdie prefers she/she pronouns.
