An IT employee who led a secret life as a high-class escort & # 39; was clubbed to death by a city bank, a court that is heard today.

Christina Abbotts, 29, was repeatedly beaten around with a kitchen masher in a "savage and brutal". attack in an apartment.

Stadsbankbankier Zahid Naseem, 47, a father of two, would have strangled her before she left her to die in a pool of her own blood.

In the hours after her death, Naseem would have stayed in the apartment and sent a pornographic photo and video to another sex worker he knew, Lily Rose.

One of them is supposed to have recorded a video on his iPhone showing that he is committing a sexual act to himself.

The court heard that she would meet some friends in London that evening to celebrate her 29th birthday at a pre-arranged party.

When she did not show up, they became increasingly worried and tried to contact her by phone and text message.

When the police broke the door of the flat on May 26, the 47-year-old Naseem pretended to be unaware, jury members were told by prosecutor Christopher Tehrani.

The police found drugs such as cocaine and the sex drug amyl nitrate in the building, as well as a blood-stained bottle of Courvoisier brandy.

Today, Naseem, a freelance financial advisor for a Canadian bank in the City of London, went on trial with the murder of Miss Abbotts.

Naseem has not pleaded guilty for murder.

Lewes Crown Court was told that Miss Abbotts had a busy social life and had many friends, but she also led a secret life as a sex worker and escort.

With the pseudonym Tilly Pexton she advertised her sexual services online and customers could contact her via the website.

Mr. Tehrani, who continued, said: "Unknown to many of her friends and family where she worked as a sex worker, in some circles she would be known as a high class escort. She advertised her services on the internet. & # 39;

The court heard that Naseem and Miss Abbotts had met for sex on previous occasions after the banker contacted her through an adult website.

Naseem, who lived with his estranged partner and children in Amersham, Bucks and Miss Abbotts, was spotted at supermarket CCTV that bought alcohol.

They then went to the flat with two bedrooms on the top floor. Miss Abbotts was sitting at the house for a friend in Crawley, where they had sex.

Mr Tehrani said: & # 39; They were then engaged in sexual activity, drinking alcohol and drug use. During the night they did not commit any penetrating sexual activity. & # 39;

He said Miss Abbotts was last engaged in sexual activity around noon the next day – her birthday.

The court heard that she would meet some friends in London that evening to celebrate her birthday at a pre-arranged party.

When she did not show up, they became increasingly worried and tried to contact her by telephone and by text message.

That night a friend decided to drive down from London and when he got no response from the flat, he went to the police who, on the 26th of May, left the door at about half past two in the morning and found Miss Abbotts.

The court heard that she lay naked on the bed in a puddle of her own blood and felt cold, yellow in color and signed for rigor mortis.

They also found a black pestle that belonged to a mortar in the kitchen.

Naseem was found on the couch in the living room and although he seemed only half-conscious, doctors who later examined him were skeptical and thought his condition was feigned.

They also found small self-harm marks on his wrists. Mr. Tehrani said there was evidence of drug use in the flat and that cocaine was found on a book and that a bottle of the sex drug amyl nitrate – also known as poppers – was found in the flat.

The police also found a blood-stained bottle of Courvoisier brandy.

A postmortem later revealed that Miss Abbotts had at least 13 strokes on his head with a blunt weapon, of which the Prosecution alleged that it was the pestle from the kitchen, as well as compression injuries on her neck, suggesting that an attempt was made to strangle her .

The freelance financial advisor, who worked for the Toronto Dominion Bank, was taken to the hospital before he was declared fit for the police interview and questioned and later accused of the murder.

Mr. Tehrani told the court that the door of the flat on the top floor was closed from the inside like all windows. He added: "Only someone with the powers of Spiderman could have reached this flat from the outside. & # 39;

Mr. Tehrani told the jury: "The Prosecution says that the attack on Christina Abbotts was brutal, primitive, unnecessary and meaningless."

The court heard that Miss Abbotts & # 39; privately trained & # 39; and & # 39; chic & # 39; was and rent paid to the owner of the flat with her sex work.

In a series of interviews with police officers, Naseem, who normally earned £ 250,000 a year, told officers that he was attracted to Miss Abbotts because she had a private training and was a Citygirl and more like a socialite than a sex worker & # 39; .

He sent a Facebook profile of a former colleague of Miss Abbotts who responded with the words: & # 39; Another whore? & # 39;

To which Naseem reportedly replied: & d. How dare you. She is incredibly chic. & # 39;

Naseem told police who had met the couple six times and he would pay her about £ 2,000 every time and he had paid her £ 3,500 for the previous two hook-ups.

The court was told that the couple got a taxi to Crawley and bought alcohol at a supermarket before going to the flat where Miss Abbotts had ordered cocaine and had received it shortly afterwards.

He told the police that he had used sex workers for about ten years and often took cocaine during the connection. He said that he occasionally suffered blackouts when he used drugs and alcohol together.

He told the police that he and Miss Abbotts had a bath together and that there was sexual activity, but no penetrating sex.

He said he had no memory of quarreling with Miss Abbotts and had no memory to beat her, but woke up on the couch in the living room and walked into the bedroom to discover her death on the bed.

Naseem told the police that he & # 39; shocked & # 39; was and went back to the living room where he drank vodka. He told officers: "Something must have happened. There I was and there she was, and then she was not her. Did I hit her? I can not remember that I hit her, no.

& # 39; Have we fought, no, we have not fought. I am not a hyperfunctioning psychopath who creates a story for you a-la Silence of the Lambs. I only tell you what happened or what did not happen. I can not tell you more than that. & # 39;

In another police interview he said: "I'm just not. It's not me. I keep telling you, but you just do not understand that. & # 39;

The court has read a series of text messages between Naseem and other sex workers, including Lily Roe and Leyla Noir.

In a message to a colleague he wrote about Miss Abbotts: Fortunately, I seem to protect her from damage and the sick perverts out there and I do not want to break her. & # 39;

The court heard that Naseem had visited sex clubs in London in the past, such as Killing Kittens & # 39 ;, & # 39; Heaven & # 39; s Circle & # 39; and & # 39; The Vault & # 39 ;, although they did not visit them anymore.

The test continues.
