BUSINESS LIVE: Markets Await Bank of England Rate Hike; Whitbread sales jump; DS Smith volumes remain weak
Markets expect the Bank of England to announce its 13th successive rate hike around noon, with the bank under pressure to bring down consumer price inflation, which remained at 8.7 percent in May.
Traders are currently split on whether the BoE will opt for a 25 bps hike to 4.75 percent or a larger 50 bps hike to 5 percent.
