A popular burger chain will close its doors within weeks, leaving its loyal customers upset by the shock announcement.
Sydney-based Burger Head chain will close its remaining restaurants in Penrith and Botany on October 29.
Owners Tim Rosenstrauss and Joshua DeLuca made the heartbreaking announcement in an Instagram post.
“The last seven years have been simply an incredible journey of ups, downs and everything in between, but unfortunately we have decided to hang up the apron,” it read.
A popular burger chain will close its doors within weeks, leaving its loyal customers upset by the shock announcement.
The owners said the physical stores would close but the burgers would continue to be served from a food truck.
“I would like to clarify that this is not the death of Burger Head but simply a major turning point for us,” we can read in the press release.
“To be honest, we thought we wouldn’t make it past a year of business, so to say we’re in our seventh year is incredible!
“What started as a pop-up marquee in a 3m x 3m tent has grown into a network of four restaurants, three trucks and a production kitchen.”
Social media users were shocked following this announcement.
“Oh my goodness, it’s such a sad day,” one wrote.
“Absolutely gutted,” added another.
Burger Head launched in 2017 and quickly became a favorite among Sydneysiders.
Among its most popular dishes was the Twisties Burger, a burger featuring a beef patty topped with popular cheese chips.

The owners clarified that the physical stores would close but that the hamburgers would continue to be served from a food truck.
