Shocking footage has emerged of a wild road fight that brought rush-hour traffic to a standstill on a busy road.

Two drivers were caught exchanging blows in the middle of the road near the corner of Bundall Road and Slatyer Avenue in Bundall on the Gold Coast, shortly before 8am on Thursday.

Footage filmed by another motorist showed a man wearing a high-visibility yellow t-shirt getting out of a four-wheel drive vehicle.

Seconds later, the driver of a sedan parked next to the 4×4 vehicle appeared and an altercation ensued.

The man wearing reflective gear briefly lost his balance as all hell broke loose between the two men.

At one point, the man in the high-visibility vehicle pinned the other man against the 4×4 vehicle while several other drivers attempted to intervene.

In the end the men were separated from each other.

Several drivers were heard honking their horns as traffic backed up on the road as a result of the incident.

The footage has since gone viral on social media, where shocked viewers expressed their disbelief.

“Oh my god, grow up,” wrote one.

Another added: “Stupid. Irresponsible. Dangerous to everyone on the road, including themselves.”
