The shocking moment a masked thief stole a puppy from the backyard of a suburban home was caught on a security camera.
The man broke the fence of the family home in Bargara, near Bundaberg, central Queensland, about 10am on Tuesday and stole the small pug named Willow.
The brazen act was captured on video and showed the man dressed all in black running through the backyard.
He is heard calling for Willow as the dog runs around the backyard trying to evade the thief.
The vision shows Willow running behind a large trampoline, but the man soon picks up the eight-week-old pug and leaves.

The camera also captured another person wearing a black hoodie running from a property next to the house.
Jamie-Lee, mother of six and owner of the dog, said they bought the dog from the seller last Sunday.
“We got him just two days ago and he was a puppy for my kids,” she said. 7 news.
Ms Lee claims the company that sold her the pug demanded it be returned a few days later.
‘(They said) if we didn’t give the dog back, they were going to steal it from us (and) 48 hours later, that’s exactly what they did,’ he said.
Ms Lee claims the two thieves returned to the property again in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
The security camera captured a car passing the house several times shortly after midnight.
Ms Lee said she is afraid the thieves will return for another family dog.
The family had purchased Willow (pictured) just two days before thieves stole the dog from their backyard.
She said the incident left her children devastated.
“We paid for this dog, we own this dog, it’s our puppy,” he said.
A Queensland Police spokesperson told the Daily Mail that Australian Police are investigating the incident.
Ms Lee urged anyone who lives in the area and is aware of someone trying to sell a pug with one brown eye and one blue eye to contact police.
