The advisory functions will make the staff work for BT's consumer division in the United Kingdom and Ireland to fulfill its promise to provide the "best and most personal support".

Based on the 1,100 messages it created in the UK in the last year, BT Consumer said it will no longer use contractual roles.

Marc Allera, executive director of BT's consumer business, said: "These new roles will provide better job security, and will enable our people to focus on putting our customers first and offering the best help and support."
