Phillies star Bryce Harper made a surprise appearance at a recent proposal, leaving one fan stunned in the process.
Harper was captured in video walking to the door with a high school student named Jake Portello, a senior at Haddonfield Memorial High School, before her hopeful date walked out to see the MLB player in front of her.
Harper exclaimed ‘Hello Julia!’ to the girl before she immediately responds, “I’m going to cry.”
The teen then covered her mouth with her hands in shock as Harper says, ‘Jake wants to ask you to the prom…’ on her classmate’s behalf.
Julia was still speechless before Harper asked again, “So, you’re going to prom with him?”

The girl, named Julia, said yes, but hilariously gave Harper a hug before her date with Jake.
Julia then gave Jake a hug while Phillies star Harper looked on with a smile on her face.
She responded with an emphatic “yes.”
Amusingly, Julia hugged Harper before their prom date while Jake stood idly next to them.
Harper then shook hands with what appeared to be Julia’s father as Julia and Jake hugged.
Haddonfield’s prom will be held on June 14.
Harper is hitting .273 this season with 10 home runs in 43 games.
The Phillies are 34-14 and lead the NL East by five games as of this writing.
