Bruce Willis was photographed taking a stroll on a scorching Sunday in Studio City, California, as the veteran actor continues his health battle with aphasia and dementia.
The 69-year-old Pulp Fiction actor was sitting in the passenger seat of a vehicle wearing a black cap and a button-down shirt with a collar and horizontal gray stripes.
The Last Boy Scout star was spotted looking in the vehicle’s side mirror amid an ongoing heat wave in Southern California, as temperatures soared as high as 107 degrees in Studio City on Sunday, according to AccuWeather.
The Sixth Sense actor is the father of five daughters: Mabel Ray, 12, and Evelyn, 10, with his wife Emma Heming Willis, 46.; and Rumer, 36, Scout, 33, and Tallulah, 30, with ex-wife Demi Moore, 61.
Willis was accompanied by bodyguards on the daytime outing, eyewitnesses said, which came weeks after Rumer posted about him on Instagram Stories.

In the August 22 post, Rumer shared an image of herself holding her father’s hand while answering a question about how the actor has been doing amid his health issues.
Rumer said: “It’s great. I love him so much. Thank you.”
In May, Rumer said at the Today’s program that her father was “doing well” and bonding with his one-year-old daughter, Louetta, whom he shares with ex Derek Richard Thomas.
“I actually got to see him right before I came to New York,” she said, and “Lou was just starting to walk a little bit, and she came up to him and was really sweet.”
“It’s really nice because I feel like my dad is like a girl dad, through and through. He almost releases that little boy, girl dad vibe. He’s really sweet to her.”
Rumer said at her appearance that she and her family members have been open about their family’s health issues in hopes of raising awareness for others who find themselves in similar circumstances.
“Our vulnerability and transparency as a family about what he’s going through is really important to me,” she said, “because if it can have any impact on another family that’s struggling in some way with something like this, or bring more attention to the disease in hopes of finding a cure or anything that might be of help to someone else, I think that’s really important.”
The Die Hard actor has been out for over two years since his health battle became public after family members, including his daughters, wife and ex-wife, issued a joint statement via Instagram on March 30, 2022 announcing his aphasia diagnosis.

They said the Hollywood icon ‘has been experiencing some health issues and has recently been diagnosed with aphasia, which is affecting his cognitive abilities.
‘As a result of this and after much reflection, Bruce is stepping away from the career that has meant so much to him.
‘This is a truly difficult time for our family and we are so grateful for your continued love, compassion and support.
They continued: ‘We are going through this situation as a strong family unit and we wanted his fans to come together because we know how much he means to you, just as you do to him. As Bruce always says, ‘Enjoy it’ and together we plan to do just that.’
The family later issued a statement on February 16, 2023 announcing that Willis had been diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia (known as FTD), calling it “the most common form of dementia” and noting that “there are no treatments for the disease” currently.
“As Bruce’s condition progresses, we hope that media attention will be focused on shedding light on this disease that needs much more awareness and research,” the family said. “Bruce always believed in using his voice in the world to help others and raise awareness about important issues both publicly and privately.
We know in our hearts that if we could today, we would want to respond by bringing global attention and a connection to those who are also dealing with this debilitating disease and how it affects so many people and their families.
The Mayo Clinic defines aphasia as “a condition that affects your ability to communicate” that “can affect your speech as well as the way you write and understand spoken and written language.”

The actor’s family has not announced what caused his aphasia attack, which has several potential causes.
The condition can occur after a head injury or stroke, or it can be a precursor to a brain tumor or Alzheimer’s disease.
Patients living with this condition are usually treated with speech therapy and taught ways to communicate non-verbally.
