Bruce Willis was spotted enjoying a casual car ride on a rare outing in Los Angeles on Friday.
The 69-year-old Die Hard star appeared to be relaxing in the passenger seat as he drove around town amid his battle with aphasia and dementia.
Their cruise in the City of Angels comes just weeks after their daughter, Rumer, shared an update on the Assassin actor’s health saying he was “doing great.”
In an Instagram Q&A where a fan asked her about her famous father, the 36-year-old actress said he’s “great. I love him so much. Thank you.”
Bruce’s family revealed his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD) in February 2023, shortly after he retired from acting due to his struggle with a brain disorder known as aphasia.

In May, Dailymail.com reported that the actor had been battling the incurable disease since around spring 2022.
Frontotemporal dementia is different from Alzheimer’s disease, a better-known type of dementia. But unlike the latter, memory is not the first to disappear.
Aphasia (difficulty speaking and expressing thoughts in words) is the first symptom in most cases. Willis has been battling aphasia for two years.
FTD also alters people’s personalities by affecting the region of the brain responsible for regulating mood, leading to sudden violent outbursts, inappropriate behavior in public, lack of self-awareness, and anxiety.
People with FTD typically die eight to ten years after diagnosis. About 80 percent of FTD patients who experience behavioral changes die within eight years of diagnosis.
Bruce’s daughter Tallulah Willis, one of three children he shares with ex-wife Demi Moore, said on the Drew Barrymore Show in November 2023: ‘I see love when I’m with him, and he’s my dad, and he loves me.
‘Playing music… and sitting in that and that energy of love, is really special.’
Willis also has two daughters, Mabel and Evelyn, aged 12 and nine respectively, with his current wife, model Emma Heming Willis.
Thanks to Willis’ resources, he can receive the highest level of care, which will include constant monitoring to prevent fatal falls or infections, and the help of a neurologist to monitor the progression of the disease.
