Bruce Springsteen has postponed two more upcoming shows, after previously rescheduling a concert in Marseille on Saturday.

The 74-year-old music icon, who also postponed a series of shows last year, had to postpone performances on doctor’s orders.

On Sunday, the longtime artist, who was honored at the 2024 Ivor Novello Awards this month, uploaded a post on Instagram sharing that his European tour will resume on June 12 in Madrid.

The title of the post read: “Following yesterday’s postponement in Marseille due to vocal problems, further tests and consultations have led doctors to determine that Bruce should not perform for the next ten days.”

The message continued: “With this in mind, additional postponements are required for Prague’s Letnany Airport (originally scheduled for May 28) and Milan’s San Siro Stadium (originally scheduled for June 1 and 3). Coming soon New dates for these shows will be announced.’

It was also noted that “those who want a refund will be able to obtain one at their original point of purchase.”

Fans were assured that “Bruce is recovering comfortably and he and the E Street Band look forward to resuming their successful European stadium tour on June 12 in Madrid at the magnificent Civitas Metropolitan.”

Last September, the New Jersey native postponed all of his remaining 2023 concerts until 2024 while recovering from peptic ulcer disease.

He shared an Instagram post announcing that all remaining tour dates for Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band would be suspended on the advice of his doctor.

The post said: “Bruce Springsteen has continued to steadily recover from peptic ulcer disease over the past few weeks and will continue treatment for the remainder of the year on doctor’s advice.

“With this in mind, and out of an abundance of caution, all remaining dates on Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band’s 2023 tour will be postponed until 2024.

“Rescheduled dates for each of the 2023 shows, including those postponed earlier this month, will be announced next week and will all take place at their originally scheduled venues.”

He expressed his gratitude by writing: ‘Thank you to all my friends and fans for your well wishes, encouragement and support. “I’m on the mend and can’t wait to see you all next year.”

Despite his health problems, Bruce appeared in high spirits last week when his friend Sir Paul McCartney presented him with the Academy Scholarship Award at the Ivor Novello Awards.

He wore a black suit, shirt and tie during the ceremony, which took place at the Grosvenor House hotel in London.

Presenting the award, Paul joked: “Like Bruce’s concerts, I’m going to keep this brief,” before adding that “I can’t think of a more appropriate recipient except maybe Bob Dylan, or Paul Simon, or Billy Joel, or Beyoncé or Taylor Swift.

Accepting the award, Bruce hugged the former Beatle and referenced his “long and wonderful history” in the UK, thanking the “extraordinary” fans for supporting him.
