Brother of Aussie World Cup star Garang Kuol taunts authorities after game against Lionel Messi

The brother of rising Australian football sensation Garang Kuol continues to taunt police for months after skipping bail for fraud.

Kuol Mawien Kuol, along with his other famous brother Alou Kuol, has taken to social media at a fancy party aboard a yacht in Sydney’s Darling Harbour.

Kuol remains at large after failing to appear in court in Victoria on July 22 and heading to New South Wales to manage his little brother, who nearly became a Socceroo hero against Argentina at the World Cup on Sunday.

The 23-year-old fugitive helped broker a half million dollar Premier League deal for Garang while on the run from Australian authorities.

Just days after making his international debut for the Socceroos, Garang secured a lucrative transfer to Newcastle United.

On Sunday, he nearly equalized against Argentina in the desperate final minutes of Australia’s losing World Cup final.

While Garang proudly represented his country around the world, Kuol sipped champagne while on a multi-million dollar supercruiser with Alou, who signed a five-year contract with Germany’s VfB Stuttgart last year.

The pair were featured on Alou’s Instagram page a few days ago, showing them enjoying a pleasant sunset on the water.

Kuol is seen wearing a large gold-colored watch, with a gold-trimmed throne depicted right behind him.

Victoria Police confirmed on Monday that the warrant remained active on Kuol.

International football sources have told Daily Mail Australia that Garang’s brother was instrumental in securing his deal with Newcastle United with the help of a Nigerian agent who did the legwork for him in the UK.

Kuol is believed to have fled the cold Melbourne winter to beachside Terrigal – about 53 miles (86 km) north of Sydney.

Kuol had an arrest warrant issued in July after he skipped bail on charges of ripping off elderly Australians in an alleged $121,000 banking scam.

The 23-year-old has been effectively on the run ever since, though his location has barely been kept a secret.

He was arrested in Sydney two days after he had fled the casino following harassment.

Police sources have confirmed that the Footscray man, from western Melbourne, appeared at NSW’s Downing Center Local Court on July 28 where he was found guilty of four charges, including resisting arrest and handling stolen property.

In a bungle, Kuol was released in NSW and has not been seen by authorities since.

Kuol has firmly bonded with his talented younger brother and claims to handle both Garang and Alou’s ‘football affairs’.

Garang is regarded as one of Australia’s hottest young talents and has been rewarded for his spectacular campaign with the Central Coast Mariners.

On Sunday he played against the legendary Argentinian Lionel Messi.

Kuol was released back into the community on $20,000 bail despite police objections.

He faced Shepparton Magistrates’ Court in June after police charged him with eight bail offenses and applied for his bail to be revoked.

The former bank employee had previously faced court charges of stealing more than $121,000 from customers of the National Australia Bank where he used to work in the country of Victoria.

The Shepparton News reported that the majority of customers affected by the alleged thefts from Kuol were elderly, including one 95-year-old and one 76-year-old.

Daniel Chapman, a detective on the police gang’s Echo Taskforce, told the court that Kuol was out on bail on $20,000 bond when he allegedly had another man sign for him seven times at the police station.

Kuol also allegedly tried to sell 13 grams of cocaine to an undercover cop and used counterfeit notes to buy a PlayStation 5 from a Melbourne man who advertised online.

The alleged fraudster was also accused of using Alou’s driver’s license when he was stopped by the police while he did not have a driver’s license himself.

It is not suggested that Alou authorized any alleged use by Kuol of his license.

Alou set the nation on fire when he scored a stunning ‘scorpion goal’ for Australia under-23 at the Asian Cup in Uzbekistan in June.

Police further allege that Kuol used someone else’s credit card to purchase round-trip airfare to the United States.

Magistrate David Faram granted Kuol bail despite his horrific history of disobeying court orders.

Mr Faram also varied Kuol’s bail conditions from daily reporting to just three days a week – a requirement he was quick to ignore.

While wanted by the police, Kuol continued to boost his younger brother’s talents on social media, where he is also investigating allegedly ‘fake’ reporting on Garang.

Speculations, deadline days past. Only the family knows the real answer,” Kuol spat in a diatribe against media reports.

“Never referring to “third” parties, they have done nothing but piggyback on the work that another is doing in the park and in life, manipulation is an absolute pinnacle in this current era.”

Anyone with information on Kuol’s whereabouts should contact the police or Crime Stoppers.
