A New York man posing as an agent lured a 12-year-old girl to a motel where he raped her, police officers say.
Carlos Medina, 51, was on the brink of tears on Friday when he was accused of raping the young girl and his bail was set at $ 100,000.
The Bronx man was accused of two counts of rape, rapacious assault, criminal sexual act, criminal impersonation, acting in a way that is harmful to a child, and two counts of sexual abuse.
The gruesome attack took place on Friday, January 4 at around 22.30 in Soundview in the Bronx when Medina approached the victim, from Connecticut, while she was walking around with her friends.

He reportedly raped a 12-year-old girl on Friday, January 4, after pretending to be an agent and blinking a law enforcement card to get her into his car. Then he drove her to a motel where the attack took place
He made a non-guilty plea and his lawyer noted his immaculate criminal history
Medina, a postal worker, flashed a law enforcement pass that claimed to be an agent and convinced the minor to enter Toyota's blue SUV, authorities say.
Then he drove her to the Hutchinson-Whitestone Motel in Pelham Bay, where he sexually abused her and then let her go.
She was then taken to a nearby hospital.
The victim was a runaway from Connecticut who according to ABC stayed in her friend's house in the Bronx.
On Tuesday, NYPD took a picture of the surveillance footage of the Medina motel in a black jacket and a beard and a cigarette in an attempt to find him.
The police said the motel manager showed a video of the girl who volunteered with him to the motel and also left together.
The manager said the defendant had paid the room and returned the room key to the reception before she left with the girl.

Cops said Medina tried to lie low after the attack and shaved his beard and left his job with the US Post Office and claimed he had a family disaster.
