Bronny James graduated from high school on Thursday – just days after his prom night and weeks after his commitment to USC.
LeBron James’ 18-year-old son donned his cap and gown as part of Sierra Canyon’s Class of 2023.
The Los Angeles Lakers superstar shared a photo of the talented special-day basketball prospect on his Instagram Story on Thursday, telling him to “keep flying high.”
LeBron’s mother, Gloria, posted the photo of Bronny looking delighted and pointing at the camera with the caption: “Congratulations grandson!!!! You always made me so proud of you. And you seeing him graduate tonight made me feel an even greater sense of pride.
“I wish you the most happiness and success in this next chapter of your life as a young adult.

“Keep spreading your wings and reaching new heights. I love you so much, Grammy.
The Team James family Instagram account also shared two videos of Bronny at the ceremony.
He was beaming as he walked across the school football field and smiled as he took the stage during the ceremony.
The momentous moment came days after he suited up for his prom before playing college basketball next season.
The NBA icon’s eldest son looked dapper in an all-black suit while attending the school prom in California in photos shared by his mother, Savannah James, on Instagram.
The 6-foot-3 guard donned a custom Chrome Hearts black suit and Dior shoes for the occasion.
The jacket featured Chrome Hearts’ custom hearts design on the front, back, and cuffs with white on the outseam of the pants. Bronny opted to go shirtless under the designer jacket.
Bronny appeared with his rumored girlfriend Peyton Gelfuso, 19, who dazzled in a black satin strapless dress.

The rising star’s mum, Savannah James, shared photos of Bronny posing outside the family home, even in front of a black Porsche on Instagram
Gelfuso, who wore her long blonde tresses in loose curls down her back, once attended Sierra Canyon High School, according to reports.
Rising basketball star Bronny left his mum ‘speechless’ as she proudly took to Instagram to share photos of her son posing outside the family home, even in front of a black Porsche.
Savannah, who also shares son Bryce, 15, and daughter Zhuri, 8, with LeBron, 38, captioned the post, “Prom 2023,” with black heart emojis on either side.
Gelfuso appears to split her time between Los Angeles and Dallas as she attends Southern Methodist University (SMU) in Texas and is a member of the Tri Delta sorority, according to her Instagram bio.
Last year, Bronny also attended prom with Gelfuso, but faced vile racist abuse for taking a white girl to her high school prom after sharing footage of the happy couple.
Some people on the internet weren’t happy with her decision to take someone “light-skinned” to prom, and social media was soon flooded with a slew of nasty comments about the couple.
“Not a light skinned woman yet,” one person wrote, while another added, “Welp on the bright side LeBron has more kids.” Maybe they will do better.

Gelfuso previously attended Sierra Canyon High School, where Bronny is a senior

Some people on the internet weren’t happy with her decision to take someone with ‘fair skin’ to prom, and they took to Twitter to share their thoughts.
This girl is whiter than white bruh,” someone else said.
A fourth tweet read, “I should have had a black queen like her dad,” along with an angry face emoji.
“I lost another black king to a money hungry white girl,” another Twitter user tweeted. “Bron needs to do better SMH.”
Someone else called her a ‘gold digger’, quoting the lyrics to Kanye West’s song Gold Digger, while others simply shared GIFs and memes showing their disappointment at her choice of date.
