Broni James is earning comparisons to his father LeBron with social media claiming his shot is better than the Lakers superstar, who hoists him on the court… despite the 109-106 All-America rout
Broni James ignited the McDonald’s All-American game on Tuesday with Lakers star LeBron making it up from the sidelines.
LeBron, along with wife Savannah and youngest son Bryce, watched as Bronney played at the 2023 All-American Game in Houston.
Bronny wore his roster dress for West at the McDonald’s All-American Game alongside the likes of Isaiah Collier, Jared McCain and Ja’Kobe Walter.
The West eventually lost a painfully close defeat of 109-106 but Bruni still managed to impress.
He entered the first half with nine points on three-of-four shooting from three and finished in regulation with 15 points, all of which came from outside the arc.

Bruni impressed with his performance which garnered comparisons to his NBA icon father
His performance did not go unnoticed as many on social media praised him for his display and some even claimed he had a better shot than the NBA’s leading scorer father.
“Undisputed” Fox Sports co-host Skip Bayless tweeted: “Bronny lights it up at long range at McDonald’s. He’s clearly a purer and better shooter than his dad.”
Sportswriter Mark Webber added, “Broni may not be anywhere near as talented as his pops, but he has a better vision at his father’s age.”
And LeBron seemed to agree as he cheered on his son’s side of the court, and he was even seen standing up and hitting an “ice in my veins” celebration after a three-pointer from Bronny.
Other fans and critics refrained from comparison but praised the high school game.
Noted basketball analyst Jeff Goodman paid tribute to Bruni, tweeting of the game: ‘Here at the McDonald’s USA game. Bronny James has already exhausted three doubles in his first game in the first few minutes. He can also run a team and share the ball. I wouldn’t make it to the Top 10 Mock Draft, but he just keeps getting better and better. I like his poise and maturity.
NFL analyst Chase Senior wrote, “I’m a Bronny James subscriber. Ideally, he’d be a little taller, but he’s a quick release, smooth stroker, willing defender, and bouncy athlete.
While basketball broadcaster Mark Jones put it simply: “Broni is very polished.”

However, Brunei’s efforts were ultimately in vain as the East launched a comeback to win 109-106.
Camden star DJ Wagner, Aaron Bradshaw, and Imhotep’s Justin Edwards sparked the comeback of the East.
Wagner scored 19 points, all in the second half, and was named player of the game along with Wests’ player Isiah Collier, who led all scorers with 25 points.
Bradshaw finished with 18 points and eight rebounds and was the winner of the Boys’ Sportsmanship Award. Edwards added 11 points and five boards to round out the scoring for the Kentucky-bound trio. Eden Holloway added 15 points for the East.

Despite the loss, Bruni clearly has a knack for success and hasn’t escaped the notice of many colleges.
The guard, who was officially named a five-star college freshman, played his last high school basketball game earlier this month.
Bronny has yet to announce where he will play basketball after graduating high school, but Ohio State is the favorite to sign him for the 2023 college basketball season.
While he still has two years to go before he can make his NBA debut, there’s a strong chance Bruni will suit up with his dad in a league game as LeBron has talked several times about his desire to team up with his son.
