- Star full-back Walsh, 22, spent time in an Indonesian hospital
Club officials, including chief executive Dave Donaghy, have urged Broncos players to avoid future holidays in Bali as the team prepares for pre-season in November under new coach Michael Maguire.
It comes after star defender Reece Walsh spent time in an Indonesian hospital after being swept off a shallow reef while surfing.
On the same ill-fated trip with teammate Ezra Mam, the NRL launched an investigation into the high-profile pair after a complaint from an Australian resident.
This stems from alleged damage to his mobile phone at a Bali nightclub after he was allegedly asked to stop filming Walsh.
Mum is believed to have paid for a new phone and the NRL declared the alleged matter closed.
Broncos boss Dave Donaghy confirmed he had spoken to Walsh and Mam about the two incidents.
“I strongly encouraged them that maybe next time they have a vacation to choose a different destination and possibly turn off their phones,” he said. News Corporation.
‘Those issues, from our perspective, are closed. It will be a topic we will revisit in the New Year, when you return from your vacation.

Broncos boss Dave Donaghy has confirmed he has suggested Reece Walsh and Ezra Mam carefully consider their next holiday destination.
“I (also) believe the matter has been closed (by the NRL).”
Donaghy’s holiday suggestion comes after Queensland State of Origin coach Billy Slater defended Walsh.
“He’s not perfect and sometimes we expect our young stars to be perfect too soon,” Slater said on his Channel 9 podcast.
“But he’s only 22 and you have to go back to 22 and say, ‘How many rough spots did I have?’ ‘He will develop and grow as a person and as a player.
“We should be grateful that guys like Reece want to be part of our game.”
It also comes after Walsh was arrested for cocaine possession in 2021 in Surfers Paradise on the Gold Coast.
Following his arrest, he was charged with possession of a prohibited substance and faced prosecution.
The NRL handed him a two-match suspension and a $5,000 fine as part of his punishment. Additionally, Walsh was required to undergo drug and alcohol counseling and perform community service.
Meanwhile, significant changes are anticipated at Red Hill on November 1 under Maguire, known for his ruthless approach.
‘Madge’ will look to hit the ground running, aware that her every move will be closely scrutinized by the Broncos old boys who wield significant power at the club, led by the likes of Gorden Tallis and Shane Webcke.
Maguire signed a three-year contract, replacing club legend Kevin Walters.
