Brittany Higgins and her husband David Sharaz have revealed that they are expecting their first child.
“I can’t wait to meet you,” the excited couple announced on Instagram on Sunday.
‘We are beyond excited to welcome a new member to our little family.
‘Your parents are already obsessed with you and you’re not even here.’
The post was quickly flooded with well-wishes.
“What a wonderful time awaits you and David. Congratulations,” commented The Block judge Shayna Blaze.
The happy couple recently tied the knot at one of Australia’s most exclusive and elegant wedding venues, The Valley Estate on the Gold Coast in June.
The happy couple celebrated their nuptials with a small group of close friends and family in Queensland only.
The couple first met in 2020, when Sharaz was working as a producer for Karl Stefanovic’s brother Pete on his Sky News breakfast show.
Mr Sharaz was instantly smitten, having previously described watching the “beautiful” Ms Higgins walk through the door of a parliamentary television studio.
On his wedding day, Mr Sharaz had shared the funny exchange between him and his bride-to-be long before they started dating.

He revealed he had accidentally sent a photo of Ms Higgins next to the famous “budget tree” in Parliament House courtyard from his Instagram account, when he was trying to send it to a friend.
Commenting on a photo of Ms Higgins, Mr Sharaz wrote: “I love this photo, but especially the tree.”
In the June caption, Sharaz wrote: ‘I accidentally sent a girl I liked… a picture of her.’
‘A few years later we got married! Romantic comedies exist.’
