In June, Spears gave 23 minutes of emotional testimony during a court hearing in Los Angeles, California, where she pleaded with Judge Brenda Penny for freedom by ending the 13-year-old conservatory under which her father, Jamie, took power. all of her personal and financial decisions after her multiple involuntary arrests in mental hospitals.

The last time Spears spoke directly to the judge was in May 2019, but the court was closed to the public and her testimony was sealed, and details about her mental health were never disclosed.

In the shocking testimony, Britney admitted, “I lied and told the whole world I’m okay and happy. It is a lie. I’ve been in denial. I’ve been in shock. I am traumatized. Pretend until you make it, but now I’m telling you the truth, okay? I am not content. I can not sleep. I am depressed. I cry every day.’

Spears said she didn’t feel she was “heard on any level” the last time she was able to speak to the court in 2019.

“I want changes and I want changes in the future,” she said. ‘I deserve changes. I was told that if I want to finish the conservatory I have to sit down again and be evaluated. Ma’am, I didn’t know I could ask the conservatory to end it.

‘This conservatory is doing me a lot more harm than good. I deserve a living, I’ve worked all my life. I deserve a break of two to three years.’
