Britney Spears has made the wild claim that she will ‘move to Mexico’ in the middle of a vacation in the country to celebrate her 43rd birthday, after becoming legally single.
Spears was spotted flying in for the occasion earlier this week and sparked concern when she appeared to be carrying a lighter aboard a private plane.
She then took to Instagram to post funny videos for her fans where she joked that she was only turning 5 and was planning to move out of her home in Los Angeles.
Later, the troubled pop star treated her fans to yet another dance, dressed in skimpy bright red underwear and a black lace top.
However, a source said PEOPLE that the pop star’s trip was simply for her birthday and not to start again outside the United States.

“Britney treated herself to a fun vacation for her birthday,” a source told the publication.
“She loves Mexico and can’t wait to celebrate in the sun,” the source added.
Britney headed to Mexico “with friends” on a private jet, according to the source.
The pop princess shared a funny video on Instagram on her birthday, subtracting one year from her real age and also pretending to be five years old: ”It’s my birthday. This year I won’t be 42, I’ll be five and tomorrow I have to go to kindergarten.’
Earlier in the day, Britney gave her social media followers a behind-the-scenes look at her birthday celebrations, revealing that she was enjoying a “delicious wine” before dinner.
The pop star later took to Instagram to reveal that she had a “really cute” birthday cake topped with a chocolate and strawberry lattice.
Her birthday festivities come on the same day she was declared legally single, seven months after finalizing her divorce from Sam Asghari.
Britney and Sam, 30, previously had a prenup before walking down the aisle in June 2022.
She filed for divorce in August 2023.
The pop star previously took to social media to admit she was “a little shocked” by their breakup.
Britney wrote on Instagram at the time: ‘As everyone knows, Hesam and I are no longer together.
Adding: “Six years is a long time to be with someone so I’m a little surprised but… I’m not here to explain why because honestly it’s nobody’s business.” But honestly, I couldn’t take the pain anymore.

Britney also thanked her fans for their continued support.
She said: ‘In some telepathic way, I have been receiving so many messages from friends that melt my heart and I thank them.
“I’ve been playing hardball for too long and my Instagram may seem perfect, but it’s far from reality and I think we all know that.”
The pop star continued, “I would love to show my emotions and tears about how I really feel, but for some reason I’ve always had to hide my weaknesses.”
