Britney Spears has made amends with her ‘sweet mom’ Lynne Spears after holding a 30-minute peace talk at her Los Angeles home.
Lynne arrived from Louisiana on Wednesday in an effort to heal their family breakdown After years of discord between them resulting from the 13-year conservatorship under which Britney lived.
The couple are believed to have had no contact since the conservatorship – controlled by Jamie Spears – was abolished in November 2021.
After Lynne was pictured waiting outside the pop star’s house, Britney broke her silence on the reunion, taking to Instagram on Thursday to give fans an update.
Alongside a childhood snapshot of herself, Britney revealed that she felt “lucky that we got to try and make it right”, noting that “time heals all wounds”.

Britney wrote: ‘My sweet mum showed up on my doorstep yesterday after 3 years…it’s been so long. As a family there are always things to settle… but time heals all wounds!!!
“And after being able to communicate what I’ve been holding back for a very long time, I feel so blessed that we were able to try and make it RIGHT!!! I love you so much!! [sic]’
According to TMZ, the …Baby One More Time hitmaker didn’t know when to expect Lynne but knew she was in town to see her and let her into the house – where her husband Sam Asghari was also present – to catch up. .
Insiders told the outlet that “the ice between mother and daughter was melting” and the couple exchanged text messages ahead of Lynne’s visit.
The source added: “Lynne is committed to working things out with her daughter.”
The reunion comes months after Lynne apologized to her daughter for “anything and everything”.
Writing about the conservatorship in October, Lynne wrote: ‘I’m so sorry for your pain! I’ve been sorry for years!
‘I love you so much and I miss you! Britney, deep down you know how much I miss you and love you! I apologize for anything and everything that hurt you!’

Lynne also begged the singer to unblock her so they could talk in person – prompting Britney to tell Lynne to fuck off.
Britney fumed on Instagram, “For 13 years I had to meet with doctors every week to discuss my past which made it worse!!! As for my whole family including my brother, sister, cousins , my aunts, my uncles, and damn the whole audience… were either stoned or their ass drunk!!!
‘I was the mother f****** Saint who was scared to move or I knew my father would put me somewhere if I didn’t cooperate… even in America, the land of the free!!!! The years go by and he still puts me in psychiatry!!!! Not a single fucking mother defended me!!! [sic]’
Following her more general rant about her family, Britney then directed her anger at Lynne.
She wrote: ‘Mom, take your excuses and fuck you!!! And to all the doctors for f****** with my mind…i pray you all burn in hell!!! Kiss my mother f****** a**!!!! [sic]’
Britney previously refused to see Lynne after she flew to Los Angeles in November 2021 during her first attempt at a fix.
‘Britney didn’t even let Lynne into her house,’ source says page 6. ‘She is furious with her. Lynne tried for several days to try to visit her, but Britney just shut her down.
