Britney Spears’ boyfriend came into contact with the law on Monday after he was involved in a minor car accident.
The 27-year-old actor got into a fender bender with another woman’s car on Monday when he was about 10 minutes away from Britney’s home in Thousand Oaks, Calif., law enforcement sources said. TMZ.
Fortunately, neither Sam nor the woman he hit were injured, and neither party was charged for the accident.
Close call: Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari, 27, was in a minor car accident on Monday
In an Instagram Stories video posted later Monday, Sam admitted he was involved in the accident and revealed he had owned the green Jeep Rubicon “less than two weeks” before the collision.
In a video shot at the scene, the Black Monday actor was seen in a blue tank top and shorts talking to police officers, while the other driver appeared to be sitting in her back seat.
Sam made no bones about it in his Instagram video and took the blame in the beginning.
“I just had a car accident,” he admitted, kneeling in front of the bumper of his jeep.
No problem: Law enforcement sources told TMZ it was a small fender bender that happened about 10 minutes from Britney’s house
Responding to the scene: In a video shot at the scene, the Black Monday actor was seen in a blue tank top and shorts talking to police officers, while the other driver appeared to be sitting in her back seat
Size difference: Sam drove a green Jeep Rubicon, while the other woman was in a much smaller Saturn
Free to go: Despite being guilty, sources said no one was quoted
‘Is it my fault? yep!’ he continued.
The former personal trainer also made it clear that his main concern was the safety of the other driver.
‘Is the other okay, more importantly? Yes, and that’s a good thing,’ he continued.
“When situations like this happen, guys, always think about it as if it were preventing bigger bad things,” he explained.
“Always think about the positive things and enjoy life. As long as you’re okay and the other’s okay, everything else is okay. You don’t have to ruin your day over it.’
Honest: ‘I just had a car accident,’ he admitted while kneeling in front of the bumper of his Jeep in an Insta Stories video
Blame: ‘Was it my fault? yep!’ he continued
Sam also revealed that he had not been involved in some of his usual superstitious practices with his new car, which he believed could have prevented the accident.
“I didn’t do this – we’re going to do this together – you’re supposed to put an egg under the tire,” he said, holding up a brown chicken egg.
He said the egg should be placed just behind one of the car’s tires and the vehicle should roll back over it.
He ended the video just after putting the egg on the floor behind his tire before supposedly making a mess of it.
Everyone’s okay: ‘Is the other okay, especially? Yes, and that’s a good thing’, he continued
It could have been worse: “When situations like this happen, guys, always think about it as if it were preventing bigger bad things,” he explained. ‘Always think about the positive things and just enjoy life’
Which also works: He seemed superstitious and said he would back up over an egg for good luck
On Saturday, Sam was spotted in the passenger seat of his girlfriend Britney’s car as she drove them around.
The next day, he posted a video of the outing on his Insta Stories, in which Britney sang along to her song Lonely and turned up the volume.
His new accident raises questions about whether Sam will be allowed to drive Britney in the future.
She previously complained in a furious statement in court that her conservatorship wouldn’t allow the Iranian-born actor to drive her in his car, and even a minor car accident wouldn’t increase his chances of being allowed to drive her.
Not Helping: His new accident raises questions about whether Sam will be allowed to drive Britney in the future, as Britney said in court he can’t drive her in his car
That’s all for now: Britney said her fans could only look forward to dance videos from home until her father didn’t make her financial decisions for her in his role as curator
Shortly before the outing, Britney took aim at her conservatory father Jamie Spears in an expletive-filled Instagram post.
She defended her many dance videos, saying that her fans would not see her on stage again as long as Jamie was in charge of her finances.
The Toxic singer took special ire for her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, 30, who made a surprise appearance at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards to cap off a tribute with a performance of her sister’s song Till The World Ends.
In the video of the performance, the singer is standing with her mother and clapping along to the song, but she doesn’t seem particularly enthusiastic.
‘I don’t like that my sister showed up at an awards ceremony and performed MY SONGS for remixes!!!!!’ she admitted. ‘My so-called support system has hurt me deeply!!!!
‘This conservatory has killed my dreams,’ she continued, ‘so all I have is hope and hope is the only thing in this world that is very hard to kill… yet people are still trying!!!!’
Wasn’t a fan: She reserved special anger for her sister Jamie Lynn, who made a surprise appearance at the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards with a performance of her sister’s song Till The World Ends
Awkward: Britney hugged her sister after the show and saw him clapping, but she looked less than thrilled in the video of the event
Britney later shadowed her sister in the caption of another of her dance videos.
Jamie Lynn shared selfies on Instagram on Sunday with the caption: “May the peace of the Lord be with you, and your spirit.”
After she posted the religious message, Britney shared a dance video with the caption, “May the Lord today wrap your vile a** in joy…this is Bad Guy part 2…same song new dance…if your don’t like it … don’t watch!!!!!’
Then Jamie Lynn removed her caption and replaced it with emojis.
Before calling her sister, Britney scored a victory in court when she was allowed to choose a new attorney, Mathew Rosengart, to replace her longtime attorney Samuel Ingham, who resigned from her case.
On June 23, Spears told the court: “I haven’t really had a chance to choose my own lawyer. And I’d like to be able to do that.’
Rosengart told the court on Wednesday that he would be filing paperwork in the coming week to end the settlement that has been in effect since 2008.
Peace of Mind: On Sunday, Britney put her sister in the shade after Jamie Lynn wrote a message: ‘May the peace of the Lord be with you, and your spirit’
Embarrassed: After posting the religious message, Britney shared a dance video with the caption, “May the Lord cover your vile a** with joy today.” Jamie Lynn then deleted her caption
