Police are searching for two men and a woman after a British tourist was assaulted and sexually assaulted as she left a Madrid club.
The trio offered to help the 39-year-old woman after seeing her “disoriented and under the influence of alcohol” near the nightclub in a central square in Madrid in the early hours of Thursday.
But the so-called good Samaritans, described locally as a Spanish woman and two men of African origin, took her to a bank where they stole all her belongings, including cash, jewellery and her mobile phone.
One of the robbers subsequently fled the scene along with his female accomplice.
But the second man is said to have briefly stayed with his victim and sexually assaulted her on the street bench before also fleeing when he realised a bystander had seen him.
