Two British tourists have died in northern Spain after falling from the motorcycle they were traveling on.
The British tourists, a man and a woman aged 68 and 65, described as a couple, were heading through the Asturian municipality of Llanes when they suffered their fatal accident.
The tragedy occurred yesterday around 5:30 p.m. on the A-8 highway, during heavy rain in the area.
They were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Civil Guard is carrying out an ongoing investigation.

A spokesman for the force confirms this today: ‘Two British citizens have died in an accident on the A8 motorway in the municipality of Llanes, near the Balmori exit.
‘They were a married couple of 68 and 65 years old. They were heading west towards Oviedo, the capital of the province, when the motorcycle they were traveling on overturned for reasons that are still being investigated.
Informed sources said there was no indication they lived in Spain and they were believed to be on holiday.
The accident caused the temporary closure of part of the highway.
It was not immediately clear where the two Britons were headed when they suffered their tragic accident.
Llanes is popular with tourists and is known for its rugged coastline. It is widely considered one of the most beautiful towns in Spain.
Many locals emigrated to America to make their fortune and some returned rich and built large houses known collectively as the “Indianas.”
