British Airways flight to Spain makes emergency landing
Three passengers suffer from inhalation of smoke and 16 others needed treatment after a British Airways flight made an emergency landing in Spain.
The BA422 pilot told air traffic controllers: & # 39; Engine on fire & # 39; while he was preparing to land the smoke-filled aircraft with 175 passengers from London Heathrow on Monday evening.
Images posted online show passengers using the evacuation slide on the runway in Valencia, and a clip from the cabin shows the sky thick with smoke.
Three people were taken to the hospital for a check-up, while 16 others suffered minor friction burns or panic attacks related to the evacuation.

Irate travelers embarrassed the airline after the evacuation on social media and said that no first aid or water was provided, people were crying at the terminal and that the airline had too little information about the incident.

Flight BA422 left London Heathrow earlier this afternoon and it was thought that it was the destination of Valencia.
A British Airways spokesperson said: “BA422 flight from Heathrow to Valencia encountered a technical problem with the landing in Valencia. All our customers were safely evacuated by our crew and met with the emergency services from the airport.
& # 39; There were 175 customers on board the flight, with six cabin crew and two pilots. Three clients were taken to the hospital as a precaution and have since been discharged.
