Britain’s Got Talent semi-finalist The Dark Hero, who performed opera dressed as Batman, finally revealed his true identity on Saturday.
The singer, who failed to make the final, took to Instagram to reveal himself as British-Ukrainian Yuriy Yurchuk, just hours after hosts Ant and Dec interrupted him while sharing his support for his war-torn homeland.
Yuriy describes himself as an international baritone and opera singer based in London who has performed around the world, including for the British royal family.
The singer shared a clip of himself singing in his Batman costume and wrapped in a Ukrainian flag with the caption: “I have two words I want everyone to remember… I am Batman.”
According to his personal website, Yuriy has performed with the kyiv National Opera, the National Theater in Tokyo, and the Royal Danish Opera in Copenhagen.

It comes after the last live semi-finals descended into chaos when Yuriy stopped the show mid-broadcast.
The singer, who sang Let It Go from Disney’s Frozen, received positive feedback from the judges before speaking on camera.
Saying: ‘My heart goes out to the people of Ukraine tonight’ before the camera quickly returned to presenters Ant and Dec, who thanked him for coming out, the music quickly played.
Russia invaded Ukraine in February 2022 with thousands of soldiers and civilians dead in a brutal war, the likes of which had not been seen in Europe since the end of World War II, almost 80 years ago.
Despite impressing the judges, The Dark Night failed to make it to the final, with comedian Alex Mitchell and the magician Trixy take the last two places.
When Ant and Dec announced the results, it was primary school teacher Alex who got the most votes from the public as he headed straight to the final.
Alex, who has autism and Tourette syndrome, left the judges laughing with his stand-up routine before thanking the BGT platform for giving people like him a place on stage.
It came just hours after hosts (LR) Ant and Dec interrupted him as they shared their support for their war-torn homeland.

Meanwhile, it was between Trixy and Denise and Stefan, a blind couple who sing and play the piano respectively, for the last spot in the final.
When the judges’ vote came, Bruno decided to save Denise and Stefan, before Alesha opted for Trixy to balance the vote, as she described the decision as a “nightmare”.
However, instead of making a split decision, as has been the case most nights this week, both Amanda and Simon opted to save Trixy.
The magician left the judges speechless with his incredible trick by asking them for a series of random numbers, which when added together resulted in the exact date and time of his performance.
Returning home after falling at the final hurdle, Denise and Stefan were visibly upset as they thanked the judges for the opportunity.

Hoping for the wild card, where the judges choose to return for one last chance in the final, Stefan said: “Hopefully we get the wild card, but if not, thank you very much.”
Fans are also hoping the pair receive the wild card, as they took to Twitter to share their disappointment at not making it.
They wrote: ‘Denise and Stefan were the subject of a criminal robbery. They were amazing both times #BGT’; ‘My original favorites (and still due to possible wild cards), Denise and Stefan, are they available now? What a farce!
‘#bgt I hope Denise and Stefan get a wild card and win it!! ‘Cowell obviously thought they were a gift for Sidney Christmas, who he wants to win!!!’
‘Denise and Stefan were the standout act tonight for me. They deserve the wild card’; ‘stefan and denise for the wild card, no one deserves it more!’; “Denise and Stefan are amazing, bring them back.”

Others were delighted with Alex and wrote: ‘Alex has to be in the final. “Just one of the nicest guys, definitely the nicest of the whole week.”
‘I loved his act. Actually, fun, entertaining and thought-provoking. AlexMitchell proving that his disability is, in fact, his superpower.”
However, others were not very impressed with the decision, adding: “Probably the best show of the week with the worst top three”; ‘What the hell, Alex didn’t deserve that at all, it wasn’t even the slightest bit funny.’
